We are not sure what to do with her. We don't want to give her to the pound as we don't want her put down. We listed her on Craigslist but I don't know how successful that will be. Since we already have two cats keeping her is not an option. Anybody on the forum in or near Phoenix want a free spayed kitten??? |
|
I would love to take her, but I live in Richmond, VA - so unless you know someone heading this way who can transport then I don't think it would work
I'm actually looking for a new kitten - our girl of 5 years passed away about 10 months ago and we're finally ready to adopt again. I don't want to go out looking for one though - I think one will find me when the time is just right. |
I would contact the vet clinics around the vacation place. Odds are a kitten wouldn't be travelling - more likely a "native". Hopefully one of them had her as a patient.
Good luck finding her family. |
Hi,
Chances are she's been searched for as it's extremely rare for someone to go through the trouble of getting her spayed and then dumping her. Please try to hold on to her as long as you are able to. Contact vets, spca, and post a notice in the paper (it's free to post in the FOUND sections of most newspapers. Check Craig List lost section. Okay I say this as after losing Merlin that one time - the person who found him, was already trying to find him a new home within 24 hours and I still get the willies thinking about that incident. I had been frantically searching for him and recently the same thing happened with Hefner the bunny. Before you give kitty away just please check someone isn't looking for her. Sometimes people might miss checking CL - could be they are working or computer doesn't work, ect..at least give them a few days. Good luck to you and hopefully kitty is reunited with owner. Well we put up FOUND posters last night all around. How the neighborhood is laid out it should get anybody who wants to claim her. I still think she was dumped as kittens don't wander very far. No neighbors so far are claiming her and since she is not chipped that is a dead end. Other then that maybe someone on craigslist will see her. We have had one person who was interested in her but she is going to wait until Wednesday to see if anyone steps forward.
I can't believe that someone dumped her in 110 degree weather. |
some towns have "spay and release" program for strays and ferals. Does she have an ear clipped? I know that is often a sign.... |
No she doesn't have a clipped ear and she is way too friendly to have been a feral cat. She is really noisy and meows at everything. Maybe that is why she got dumped. As young as she is it would seem like someone originally should have got her at the pound or something. Most people don't spay their kittens that young unless it is a rescue place adopting them out. |
ARGGGG! This kitten is NOT a cat but a dog!!! I swear. No I take it back she is worse than a dog!!!
I have NEVER known a cat so needy. She spends almost all her time glued to you trying to make love. Bashing her face against you over and over, purring, meowing, climbing all over you, until she wears herself out and falls asleep on your chest. If you leave the room she starts meowing for you. I think she would be perfect for a lonely single person or an older person. Or someone who likes cats masquerading as a dog needier then an OES! No one wants to claim her yet. |
