something must have scared her. Can she see...sorry that sounds rude..is her hair tied up. Summer is much more confident when she can see.
We tried clippers on Sum a few days ago and she freaked! From being shaved at the vets, we need to introduce them to her as they were much too expensive not to use. Try to analyze what has caused it and then perhaps you can get her over it. Summer is just almost one year old, still a baby in my mind. good luck. |
I have to agree with Sue. When Oliver doesn't have his hair tied up, he is much more timid.
At one year old though she might also be going through a phase. |

At one year old though she might also be going through a phase. Although it may be a phase it also is a time when new behaviors how up. I would work with a good (not just certified someone you can agree with their philosophies) trainer or behaviorist to see if their are issues surfacing. A behaviorist told me the other day when we were talking about her own dogs that she felt aggressive dogs were easier to manage than fearful dogs. |
Is the flooring new? I had one who was very scared of the floors after we put them in. He wasn't raised with the slippery stuff...and it is probably the same with being on his back on it. It feels weird mom.
Buy some cheap area rugs and runners and see it this helps. It works in my house. When he slows dow he will get used to it. You can also buy some show spray for his feet so he doesn't slip so much. |
