Brag and a Be-Lated Birthday...
This past weekend we went to the Minnesota Specialty where I entered him in Pre-Novice Obed., Nov. A Rally, and Breed....yes very lofty goals for Luca...and for me...as I had also decided to show a puppy in sweeps..... First up was Obed...he qualified as you can't NOT qualify if you enter in Pre-Novice...He actually did remarkably well considering there was 40mph winds rattling the metal building and doors kept slamming. Then as we were finishing up with a long down...the one thing I can usually bet on that he will do the rally ring broke out in a huge round of laughter and applause...well Luca thought it was for him and stood up walking to me for praise....... At any rate it was a great experience for him AND for me. Next up was supposed to be Rally which sadly we had to withdraw from, or else there was NO way I was going to be able to get my sweeps puppy ready AND Luca. After a quick wardrobe change in the grooming area I prepped the puppy and Luca and we all whisked in the ring. Luca- I am happy to report went Best in Specialty Show (BOB). This is his second specialty win this year. I was so thrilled! All in all it was a great weekend even with all of the thunderstorms. We got to visit Dawn, Chewie and a number of other great OES exhibitors. Chewie looks great Dawn, keep up the good work!  |
