In the summer I wrote about responding to an ad to purchase a doggie door..incredible deal..only 25 dollars (brand new in the box) and extra large. Turns out, the person who listed it was a long lost friend who I had lost contact with. Another time, I responded to another ad regarding purchasing a door. Once the woman said her unusual name I asked if she had once lived at ___ st and was married to a fellow named Jarod. My question was met with silence. Then questions of how I knew that. I responded, "because I purchased my home from you aprox 14 years ago and recognized your name and your voice." We had a chuckle regarding the coincidence. Especially since I was purchasing a door for her former home. Recently I saw an ad from a woman requesting a specific plastic snow man and an accompanying photo. I responded "I've got one you can have for free". The person who just wrote the ad just emailed me again and said "Quess what Marianne?...it's Sue!!!" Another friend. The first time you send a message it's private as it goes through the CL website but later you can email the person directly. Okay so my friend Sue who lives in another municipality just happened to be looking for a specfic type of snowman that I just happened to have in my garage and no longer need. Too funny! Okay I know what you're thinking...must be a small place I'm from..nope over 3 million live in my area and CL is used by millions. What are the chances of these occurances? I love CL and yes I do check frequently. I give tons of stuff away free that I no longer have use for and in return I also get stuff people donate for my pets..deluxe kitty condos, bricks...LOL remember the 725 I hauled home? and other stuff. So much fun!! |

We are going to crown you the CRAIG'S LIST QUEEN!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Whooo Hooooo !!!
Okay so where's the tiara? I've made myself a promise, however, for all the stuff I purchase (it's only building supplies and rarely anything else unless animal related) - for all I bring home...I donate two things to give away! Some items, I hadn't even thought of parting with until I see someone wants it. Recently a young woman wrote how she needed a dress form to display her grandma's wedding dress. I just happened to have one in my garage! Yes!!! more room and glad someone could use it. An artist once posted she was searching for dog hair as she weaves with it. I've been collecting Ole Blue's hair for her as well as my other two. She was willing to purchase it but heck I'm giving it to her for free. I love this playing it forward stuff! |

ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!! |
that is really cool, M! ...but nothing is surprising with you. That's neat you keep running into old friends, but I'm sure it's all for a reason even if it's just to post about it on here
I need to learn how to use this craigslist thing everyone talks about. |
Maybe one reason she runs into old friends is because she makes so many friends! |

You guys crack me up!!! (regarding all the other comments) Miss J..there's a CL list for every major city in the world..you should check it out sometime. Ron, thanks for that, as according to my neighbor (who fights dirty I may add, as I responded with no personal attacks but just stuck to the facts) he said no body liked me. Pfff! Besides calling a crazy cat/dog/bunny lady which I take as a compliment. Enough of that however as you guys made my day!!! Marianne Once I'll get the photo posted you'll see it goes back to my childhood. Stay tuned! Marianne |
