That's wonderful! Not a mundane task at all - very important command. Congrats to you & Louie - you'll be a step ahead if you take him to puppy school! I bet you'll be able to teach him "DOWN" in no time.

OOOH! Good Louie! Kristen's right, it is a really important command to know! What a smart boy you have!

Isabella that is wonderful! I love hearing about the happy stories and successes with their furbabies! I can't wait to hear all about Louie as he grows up! |

Great Job Louie! These milestones will continue on, and they will continue to amaze you! I can't wait to hear more about him and all of his sheepie antics as he grows.

I thought i would give a little update.
Well, Louie's repertoire has expanded to include come, stop(when we are outside he will stop still), and down (although with this command he will only respond to the hand command, or the hand and the word but never the word alone). He will play fetch but doesn't know the word fetch-yet . He is also learning to tolerate brushing for more than 5 minutes at a time!! We're still working on the nipping, though.... |
Isabella & Louie,
Keep up the good work! You sound like you are both doing wonderful. I'm sure with consistency and training - you'll be able to conquer the nipping too. Congrats! Kristen |
Thanks, Kristen! Sometimes i feel he 'gets' NO nipping and then he'll get hyper and start up at my clothes....
On a lighter note... I taught Louie to shake hands! (Is it crazy that i enjoy seeing what Louie can learn?....You give a girl a few days off from school and she goes nuts ) |
Mexican Sombrero Fanfaire Rolling....
That's by no means a small feat! It took sofa 2 weeks to sit and she still can't stand still. Congratulations! |
Isabella- it's so great hearing how Louie is doing! I'm so happy for both of you. I'm sure he'll get the no nipping down, as soon as some of that puppy play enthusiasm wears off!

Louie is one smart sheepie! Aw, he is trying to herd you.He looks adorable! |
Way to go Louie and his mom!! Keep up the good work - sounds as if both of you are doing well at your jobs!
