1/2 cup celery ,finely chopped 3 Granny Smith apples peeled and diced 1/8 cup Canola oil 4 lbs ground turkey 2 tbsp salt 1 tbsp pepper 2 tsp tobasco sauce(chipotle if you prefer ) 1 lemon,juice and grated zest 1/2 bunch parsley,finely chopped 1/4 cup chutney,pureed, Major Grey's or any mango chutney you like Saute the onions,celery and apples in canola oil . Let cool. Place the turkey in a mixing bowl and add all the ingredients together. Combine. Shape into 8 oz burgers Important - Refrigerate for 2 hours before cooking or the burgers will fall apart Grill for 7 minutes a side until meat is cooked. Let sit for 5 minutes . Serve on a hamburger bun with all your favourite toppings. |

Yes, this is the same burger. When I made it I added twice as much chutney as the original recipe called for which I think made it better. However for here, I left the ingredient list exactly the same as the one on her website.
As his burger toppings my husband had caramelized fried onions on his with that yummy green dijon mustard and he loved it . |

First time thru the recipe turned me off. I gave it another "mental taste" and decided it needs to be tried. Next time I'm in town I'll hunt down the chutney.......my little store here won't have it, for sure. |
In a pinch you can use sweet and sour sauce or plum sauce. Alters the flavour but still good ! |
