Remo got good news at the vet today.
I've been stressed thinking I was going to have to put Remo to sleep soon but our vet, who I trust more than anyone in the world, said Remo is very healthy but he just can't walk much. He said although the decision is mine he doesn't think Remo needs to be put down yet. GREAT NEWS!!!! It's like taking care of an elderly person but as long as he can hang on I can continue to do it, happily. Thank you to those of you who responded to my last post. While we go to the lake, Remo does not actually go down to the water so he doesn't drink lake water. He can't walk that far. He just likes to lay on the porch at the camper in the shade and enjoy all the attention he gets from us and our friends. I took a couple of cute pics. I feel like a huge dark cloud has been lifted. |

| I am glad that it turned out to be a UTI. In older human beings, a UTI can really affect all aspects of behavior and can make someone with no dementia or mild dementia seem to be much worse off than they are without the UTI. So it makes perfect sense to me that your boy seemed to be doing so poorly.
With any kind of luck, he will soon be on the mend and still have some good days. |
