My problem is our wedding gift wrap. Our current wrap is a very subtle stripe of white and ivory. It is gorgeous -- however this is my problem, it is way too sheer. It is so sheer that even with 5 pieces of tissue paper underneath you can still see the printing on the box. I'm ok if the item purchased is not boxed and goes into one of my kraft boxes but if the item is already boxed -- say an All Clad or Viking pan - I can't hide the printing on the box. Double wrapping is too hard. So I am on a mission to find new wedding wrap that isn't sheer, stark white or silver or doesn't look like old lady wall paper. My supplier has nothing. I can find nothing on the internet. Have any of you bought or recieved a wedding gift with awesome wrap that would go with my "theme"? If so, could you please let me know the name of the store so I can try it for my store. Thank you. Marie |

What about a plain metallic paper? Bed, Bath and Beyond does mainly silver everything on their registry gifts.
I had bought a great white and silver striped paper from a local craft store 2 summers ago when everyone I knew was getting married. It is really great and very opaque. If I can find the distributor name, I'll let you know. |
Marie,
I have a friend who actually sells wrapping paper on his site. He mostly sells tools for businesses, but wrapping paper is one of the things he has. I don't know if he has exactly what you want. I will send you a pm with his website. |
Could you not sprinkle wedding confetti between the sheets of tissue and the wrap?
It will disguise the writing on the box a little more. |
specialty foods, kitchenware store with cooking classes in a historic downtown district
Wow, just my kind of store, sure wish you were in Las Vegas! |
does your supplier do a white or a silver gingham on the kraft paper that way it still fits in with the rest of your wrapping papers and it can be dressed up with a silver or white or even an organza ribbon.
i love wraping with the plain brown paper and using the ribbons or even paper flowers to accent and using them to tiie it in the the occasion. zoe and einy |
have you thought about having some plain white butcher paper around for just those occasions that the printing shows through... You love your paper, it's part of your "look" so use a wrap of the butcher paper for those that need it and be done with it.... butcher paper is pretty inexpensive |
