Has anyone ever used an online pet pharmacy? Looking for a reliable scource for prescription meds. Also need to try to locate a drug called Pimobendin which is not approved for sale in US, so Canada or Europe are the choices. Thanks, Tony |

I don't know if you've done this (I assume you have) but I thought I'd do a few searches on Google about this.
It appears that the correct spelling of the generic is "pimobendan". That is the generic name of a drug called "Vetmedin". Home page for Vetmedin: http://www.vetmedin.co.uk/ A woman's experience in getting Vetmedin imported into the US from Canada... got the FDA's permission in under 10 days! http://www.netcomuk.co.uk/~pdownes/scra ... .html#pimo Good luck |
Thanks Ron for that information. I was not even aware I may need FDA approval to order this medication.
Thanks Again, Tony |
It goes by the name VETMEDIN. www .petpharm.org is out of Canada but they are having problems getting it in at the moment you might need to wait until Feb 16 before they can ship it. They had a bout the best price mind you with shipping and the dispensing fee, they all end up around the same. I believe it is more readily available from the uk - try www globaldrug.tv Or you might try looking up a vet in Canada and they might send it to you if youhave the prescription etc.
Goodl Luck - I am tryin to get it too!!! |
Hi Jodie,
Try this link for your vetmedin. They are out of the UK. Have been using them for about a year for chester's prescription. Have had no problems at all. I get a 3 month supply each time i order. He is on 5 mg dosage twice a day so the 3 bottles of 100 capsules is $200.00. They will ship either express courier or air mail. http://www.globaldrug.tv/vetmedin.asp Good Luck Tony |
I use www.vetcentric.com |
