Its a really cute competion between dog groomers. They had a marathon yesterday and it sucked me right in! |

yep, I've been watching. After the Beardie challenge we decided to give Barney a bath. I don't think he was impressed with our grooming skills--he was watching them blow dry them and bathe them indoors--we hosed him down in the driveway and then walked him around the neighborhood to dry him off |
LMAO Steph |

LOL You crack me up. |
Are you sure you were watching? Did you learn nothing....you should have put him in a convertible and driven down the highway to blow dry him. |
This one will probably always bug me. They wanted 12 OES in the L.A. area "in full coat" for that show. We were hoping Nigel would get on, and Pepsi, but they decided against OES because they couldn't find enough. Maybe Los Angeles, California was not the right place to find them in full coat. Duh! They should have taken our wonderful sheepies in all lengths.
The only one I watched was really weird...they had to find dogs in a park to groom...and get the owners permission. There were a lot of "no" amswers being given. |
I have been watching too. I would have loved to have seen an OES episode. |
the only way they'd find 12+ OES in full coat is at the Speciality or major dog show! And of course they couldn't get within an arms length of the dogs!!! |

I thought it was weird too. I don't know if I would have said yes to them the way they were approaching people. And some of the groomers just seem a little 'off' in general, so I don't know if I'd trust my dog to them. I probably would say yes since there were cameras following them around, but it was weird. I also would have been upset if they dyed my dog's hair without me knowing about it (like that poor blue weirdly shaved poodle). It'd be one thing if they said we might do any sort of strange haircut and/or dye job. But if I thought Barney was going to be on the cover of a magazine, I'd be thinking more along the lines of what that girl did to the Golden--just bathed and dressed up in a cute outfit. There WAS a sheepie at the dog park, though--is that anyone we know? |

That's probably why they used Beardies! |
It was what the gal in charge of finding the dogs told me...they couldn't find enough OES so they went with Beardies. |
It seems strange, though, that you could find 12 full coated Beardies and not 12 OES. I love Beardies though... |
i watched it once and did not care for it. they had to be creative in this episode. i would have hung a groomer if i went to pick obe up and he looked like those dogs did. they were painted multi colors, had rings shaved around the belly and back, etc. never watched it again. |
Anyone else watch the finale? I was really glad that Artist won. He may not have technically been the best groomer, but I'd trust him with my dogs in a second. He really loved the dogs and cared about making them happy and look good. That's a good groomer. |
I watched it once.
It was when they were down to 4 contestants and they did the mobile grooming . I liked it. I will have to try and catch the reruns. For once the nice guy actually won! |
I haven't seen the finale yet, but I'm glad Artist won, too. He really, heartfully, cared about the dogs. I liked the show. I thought it was fun. And not too much bs drama! |
dawn the episodes are available on the web (with shorter commercials )
I missed the finale but plan on watching it on the computer this weekend. Now that I know Artist won I definitely will watch! |

I missed the finale but plan on watching it on the computer this weekend. Now that I know Artist won I definitely will watch! LOL - always a good backup plan. However, my ancient 13" monitor leaves a bit to be desired! Here's a homework assignment for the computer geeks - I have no idea how old this "new to me" monitor is. It is a Gateway, has "VX720" in the lower right corner and "Diamondtron NF" in the upper right hand corner. It just sounds so old....... |
