I start one of mine next weekend but I am in Southern Calif. I know there is a breeder, Debra Lehr I think her name is, who is active in herding in Northern Calif. Maybe someone on this list knows her. |
She is in Wilton Calif. Pam Henry at Blue Mountain Kennels is in Santa Rosa. She may be a good place to start looking as well.
Good luck...happy herding! |
Debra's a herding judge who has her own sheep and teaches herding. She has BCs in addition to OES. Even if you're too far away to be able to work with her - and I don't know how active she is at the moment, she's still recovering from an injury - she could probably recommend someone.
If you do get to work with her, don't tell any of the serious upper Mid-west OES herding people as they will be terribly jealous She is very highly respected. I e-mailed you her e-mail address. Kristine |
also you can check with Anne Witte who works with beardies for a recommendation for herding instructors for upright herders. |
