I thought I'd create a space for us to share stories and photos from St. Louis this weekend. I wanted to thank George for his generosity in having all of us over to his home. What a wonderful dinner he had waiting for all us weary travelers! Also, he had a wonderful yard for all the sheepies to run and play in. Thanks for your kindness in having us all over, George! Also a big thank you to Judi and Val for so much organizing and taking care of things. You are both so great to have put all of this together. I have to confess... my friend and I split one of the infamous sheepdog cupcakes! I wasn't going to take one, they were just too pretty to eat! But my pal Riki came trotting back from the dessert table with one, and promptly split it in half so we could share it. And, it was as delicious as it was beautiful! I have lots of photos so far, and will post them when I get them edited after we return home. We had to split a little bit early from the bar-b-que; I think the 9 hour drive plus almost 4 hours of playing with all the other sheepies really wore the girls out. They began to get a bit snappish, and we beat a hasty retreat with them before they could get too cranky. So I'm ready to hit the hay, the girls are already asleep, and I'll post more tomorrow! Also a big thank you to Judi and Val for so much organizing and taking care of things. You are both so great to have put all of this together. Ditto!! George- It was so kind of you to open your home to us. You worked so hard and I don't think I ever saw you sitting down and relaxing. Thank you so much for your generosity! Judi, Val, Erika and other club members- Thank you for all of your hard work! I can only imagine how much time and effort went into organizing this event...especially when people like me make last minute decisions to attend! Thank you so much!! I took a few pictures last night and they are currently awaiting approval. Don't get too excited though...others were taking lots of pictures with good cameras so I didn't even attempt to get any good shots! We had a great time and everyone was so nice. Lucy is currently sleeping so she'll have lots more energy on Sunday at Purina Farms! It's raining and kind of stormy here today...I'm hoping St. Louis is having better weather. |
Was axious to see pixs but remember El Rono is away for a few days. boo hiss. I'll have to be satisfied with your stories. |
Jill, get thee to a computer and approve the pics! |
YEA! Pictures are approved! I'll try to put screen names in when I can remember...though I'm sure it will be pretty obvious. I quit taking pictures early on so there was A LOT more sheepies by the end of the evening!
Since George was the host I'll start with a pic of one of his dogs. I think this is Barney This is my Lucy and Judi's (SheepieMommy) handsome Harry This is Val's (sheepieshake) Heart with an adorable hairdo! Kathy from NY's Oscar Clyde (ButtersStotch) Bear (ButtersStotch) Tonks (Darth Snuggle) Wynette (BatonRougeSheepies) holding Rodney...yep, the brother of London ALSO gets carried! Allison (Darth Snuggle) amongst the dogs taking good pictures! Val (sheepieshake) and Allison (Darth Snuggle) are both in black. I don't think I met the woman in white but I think her dog was Jake. Playing chase. The shaved one is Lucy, the lighter one is Julie's (AddieLuv) Addie. I can't tell the third sheepie. And...the cupcakes! I didn't get a picture of the cake but it was cute too! |
Great pics and thank you for captioning them. It looks like everyone was having a nice time and the weather was holding out. |
I don't know if I can do this.....but here goes...
This guy was taking pics at SHEEPIEPALOOZA... www.iephotographs.com He has a special section "SHEEPIE IN BOATS".... Although there are no names to go with the pictures, they are great!!!!! (ron, if this is a no-no....please remove the website and please accept my apology). |
one more thing.....sorry my brain is out of order this morning...
I just wanted to say I am really enjoying meeting all of you guys!!! All of the sheepies are sooooo adorable and are having a ball!!!!! The dog park yesterday afternoon was a hoot!!! We had about 28 sheepies running off all the pent up energy from being on the boats and then walking around the Central West End, at times in the rain. What a site!!! Sheepies in raincoats!!! We had so many other people asking if they could take pictures! I am sure there will be many other posts about our day!!! |
Internet has not worked at hotel. Will post when we get back home and upload pics then.

What great pictures!!!!!! Dogs and people are obviously having a fun time. I wanted to go so badly; will definitely make the next sheepiepalooza. What lucky dogs to have such nice owners. |

I hope he gave y'all a free group shot download!!! Yep...Nick gave the club the group shot from the boathouse and the group shot from Sheepiepalooza....Nick is very nice and sweet just like his mom.............. |
Cool Val,
I love the one with sheepies on all the paddleboats...your son takes nice pictures. |
Wonderful shots......love the black and white one with the big fluffy appearing to be balancing on a thin rail between the back ends. Also the very confident sheepie facing forward between his uprights, "Full speed ahead!" And of course the very unsure sheepie appearing to slink down the dock to the boat. Oh gee, they are all great pictures. |
I edited a bunch of photos tonight; as soon as Ron approves them, I'll post! |

(Sorry - mental block) Bear crashed after too much partying - My hairy boy - Judi taking a rest - the human and dog cakes - the cupcakes! Heart and Harry - "I know they went in the house" |
How did we survive w/o cameras?!?! Great pictures and I'm glad so many were taken! Looks like the dogs had the time of their lives!
The dogs all look great, and Tammy looks so thin!!!! I'm a food person and I couldn't resist drooling over the cake and cupcakes!! |
I can help with a couple of the names from IE Photographs. Just 'cause they're us.
Picture 25 of Sheepiepalooza - with the dog "flying" after the others - that's Ralph, Mr. Shaved and Mr. Sheriff Sheepies in Boats - Number 1 - that's me (Ann), Karen and Ralph. 22 (dog yawning) is Ralph. Ditto to everyone else's comments as well. We had a blast. Thanks to George for his home and yard and to everyone else for a great event. |

Thank you George for hosting such a wonderful party at your house last Friday evening. Everyone (esp the sheepies) were having such a wonderful time. ....It looked like it was hard work and it panned out wonderfully the entire weekend. I look forward to attending next year.....
It was so great to put faces with names, and sheepies with their uprights! Thank you again! Michelina~ |
