I was told a long time ago that God will never put upon us more than we can handle. I sometimes found that difficult to believe in my weakest moments, but as the pain lessened, I could see that it was true. It will take time to overcome your grief, but one day, without you even realizing it, your heart will be full again. You have plenty of love in your heart. Maybe one day soon, after you heal, you'll be ready to share it with another dog that also has plenty of love to give you return. |

Dolly was very lucky to have had you in her life. The loss of the dogs is a far greater loss than that of the boyfriend, whose sense of timing is surpased only by his lack of common sense and compassion. After all of the sadness as passed, I feel sure that your life will be filled with much joy. In the meantime, please know that we are all sending out warm, comforting thoughts to you. And hugs. | I'm so sorry to hear of your Dolly and all the other trials you have had to endure. I have to agree with the poster who said we will not get more than we can handle. I believe that to be true, I also have been where you are and you wonder how ever will you get through. My advice, is one day at a time, each day for what it is and you will make it. Also, remember, Dolly may not want you to be alone, so if you can, go to your local shelter and volunteer to walk the dogs that are there. You have been in such a mode of giving for so long, it will be hard to not have something to look forward too, try that or something else you have an interest in.... It might really help.

| thanks to all of you last nite was hard but i thank god i have still derby and the duffy boy and you know having a pup keeps my mind off of everything.. i do miss my dolly so much and miss daytona the 13 year old loved my ex so much she would never be happy here with me and the pup she never liked derby and now at her age she attacked the pup and derby daily. taking 2 of my old girls in one day topped it for me, men well you know the old saying ...... |

| My greatest of sympathy for your Dolly. She is with my keeshond -Baby. Baby will keep her company until you are reunited.

I hope all the good memories may help you through the difficultt time. Life is rough to us some times; I lost my beloved dog and my father last year. It helpt me a lot that I already had a little oes-puppy (Sancho) at home when this happend.
