So here is some information for all of you: Weather Forecast: The weather is currently forecast for highs in the 70's, cloud cover and a 20% chance of rain. St. Louis can get hot - I would suggest bringing mostly warm weather clothing and a jacket. Raingear is a must including for the dog. My philosophy has always been: Bring an umbrella and it won't rain! It works most of the time. Getting around St. Louis: We will have maps waiting for all of you at the hotel on how to get to each event. If someone is coming in and not staying at the hotel then PM if you need any directions. We have kept the directions as simple as possible. Friday Night Gathering: Remember the club is hosting a party at George's house for all of you forum members AND the dogs. We will serving you a Taste of St. Louis. Directions will be provided (see above). Parade: We are having an informal parade around Forest Park after the Boat House on Saturday morning. If you would like to bring something to adorn your sheepdog - like a boa, ribbons in the hair, a hat, etc. feel free. Be creative! This is optional - cute sheepdogs don't really need anything. Pet Sitting: If you are planning on staying in town on Monday and sightseeing, the club members are willing to watch your dog for a donation to OES Rescue. If you would like to use this service then please PM me with the number of dogs you will need sat. I have received one already. Don't forget to bring: Chair - we will be in parks and you need a place to sit. Raincoat for you and dog if desired (see above) Parade wear (see above) We currently have 70 people registered for Saturday and 90 for Sunday! There are supposed to be 65 Sheepdogs in attendance between the two days. Plus a Bearded Collie, a Komondor, a Border Collie and a Basset. I am looking forward to seeing all of you! We only have a week to go. I better get ready.... |

Hi, Have you received my check yet? I will be coming with my 3 dogs all sheepies and my husband and daughter. My son's graduation is Friday night so we will be rolling in Saturday morning. I'm so excited. |
Whose Border Collie????????? Come on, fess up. How old? Doing agility? I just know I'm going to end up with one of those critters one day.
Notice the lone hound among the herding breeds. Good thing he's used to it. Kristine |

Kristine The border collie is a rescue dog and his sister is the foster dog I took up to sheepiepalooza last year to her furever family. Johnny-B-Goode now known as Jazzy and her family are going to be at Sheepiepalooza again this year. I can't wait to see Jazzy. I love to see my former foster's all happy and in such a good home. It will be interesting to see if she and London remember each other and if she remembers us. |

Well I was going to mention that Simon is the only one who isn't color coded to the sheepies! Hey Dawn - how about throwing together a sheepdog outfit for him to wear? You can make it while you are driving between New York and St. Louis! If I were Chewie I would complain. Basset Fest won't let him attend because he isn't a Basset! |
I CAN'T WAIT! Work has been a zoo lately and I've barely had time to think about anything; however, images of SHEEPIEPALOOZA pop in my head. Every time I think about it, I get butterflies in my stomach. Looking forward to meeting everone! |
Here is an image. I am leaving my husband with a dog I had pulled from GA. She is sweet,,,,has mange, broken teeth, bilateral ear infections , SKINNY and has HW Can't treat the mange till the HW's are cleared up , can't treat the HW's till she gains weight and needs her ears flushed everyother day and ear drops 2 times a day. Do you think I will be able to come back????? I have to get her to the vet tomorrow. I AM coming to sheepiepalooza |
Give us a break! You know us guys are capable of giving the utmost of loving care in such a situation. Like All State - she is in good hands. |
I started singing the Sheepiepalooza song last Friday . . . . I think my co-workers are going to give me the boot soon. |
How's that song go again, Jil?? Sing it for us. |
You really don't want me to sing it . . . it's got many versions and is much more complicated than last year's!
Ahem. This was this morning's version as sung to Bentley, the official food snitch of Sheepiepalooza 2007: It's almost time for Sheepie-pa-looza ya ya ya You get to play and hopefully snooza ya ya ya You'd better not take anyone's lunchies ya ya ya Or leave ME to eat nothing but crunchies ya ya ya |
You gotta get out more, Jil. |
Is it that obvious? |

I wonder what that says about me?? Hmmm.... |
If you sing it when you get here, Barney will sing along with you. |
Guinness will sing too You don't want me to sing........ |
Barney & Guinness would sound better than I would, although Bentley seems to think it's quite amusing.
(I don't think he's listening to the words though, so everyone had best keep an eye on their lunch! He's very sneaky!) |

And - I would lovew the direct5ions emailed to my hotmail. if anyone with them reads it!!! I don't know when I will get to a computer again. We will be driving home Thursday, and leaving for St Louis by 7am Friday. Busy week. Just with this trip out east, I will have been about 56-58 hours in my Element......wow. |
Well, at least you're in your element !!

Jil, you're starting to sound like Robbie. |

Hey, Dawn left that one wide open!
Stacy, I can't actually remember the tune! It was sort of made up and now I can't remember it. Yeah, that's it. I can't remember it. |
