We were in class last night. The instructor was trying to teach crosses. The first person was unable to do it (in a frustrating high maintenance way! ) so the instructor yelled for us and asked if Toby and I could do it. Sure, why not? So, here's our cross. Watch the tunnel closely upon Toby's entrance. Maybe Ron can fix the link. To view it before that, just click on my camera, it's the last AVI file posted. It may take a second to start up. http://photos.oes.org/albums/userpics/1 ... I_0227.wmv |

I couldn't get it to work |
^^^Just be patient it will start eventually.
LOL I watched his big butt four times because it was so funny. By the way - nice contacts - I am impressed. We still can't get that down. Too bad we can't combine our dogs for one well trained agility dog. They even look alike with the right eye patch and all. Gotta go - I have to watch it again. |
i cant get it to work either |
Still laughing .... I can just imagine Toby asking
"Does my butt look big in this tunnel?" |
how are you watching it judy??? |
It takes a really long time to load -- but it is worth it! |
OH THAT IS JUST PRICELESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Toby Toby Toby, I feel your pain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
You must be very patient. It loads eventually. Open it and then come back to it. Otherwise it is like watching a pot boil. LOL |
that is what I did! |
very cute! In Toby's defense it did look like that tunnel was set up on an angle.
I need somebody to video tape Marley's runs - I am so jealous |
Try the link now. |
Toooo Funnny! |
Mandy!! What do you feed that dude??? I've never seen anything quite like that before!
Wish more people would post OES agility clips. I can't figure out how to upload to my computer, let alone online, or I'd probably be able to dig out some "fun" ones Oh, and if it does happen again? You dip him in grease before you run him. No, really! Full body dip. Kristine |
Poor Toby.....(giggle,giggle)....
(had to stop everthing here for all co-workers to come into my office and watch....too funny!!!!!!! |
Poor Toby
He should really think about sueing....that tunnel is so obviously prejudiced against the big butted |
Well, looks to me like he hit the tunnel hard, but I think the real problem was that the tunnel gave way and rolled, which caused him to roll inside the tunnel.
They need to anchor it better for a big fluffy butt dog! |

They need to anchor it better for a big fluffy butt dog! That's just it - if those are full size sandbags, they should be able to withstand big fluffy dudes banking off the sides. Mad used to move tunnels and rearrange the course, and she wasn't big, but she was travelling. And even with the momentum, she never got flipped in the tunnel. A moderately paced dog, big butted or not, shouldn't be able do that. I'm going to have to alert the agility chair for this year's national that we may need to ask for more tunnel sandbags and extra stakes or be prepared to comandeer equally big-butted people to hold the tunnels in place when Toby runs Kristine |
Really Funny, Poor guy... |
That baby got back! |
Of course, I read the title and thought "now stop talking about me" |

Only run girls then I take it? |
kerry wrote: Mad Dog wrote: Mandy!! What do you feed that dude??? I've never seen anything quite like that before! Only run girls then I take it? Ouch!! You think it's a gender thing???? I've seen great danes and the occasional newf go through tunnels (OK, they WERE all bitches, come to think of it) and still never seen anything like that. So which is it - male or size? Kristine |
I think it's a male thing. It falls in with "we don't need to stop and ask for directions"! I think that the bend was toward the front of the tunnel and he started the turn as he was entering it. He doesn't seem to crouch down or 'give' too much to the course. A normal dog usually crouches down when they do the tunnel and chute. Toby seems to just squish himself small enough to fit. He really is cleaning out the tunnel and chute when he goes through.
I'm going to declare it a Toby Thing! |
.... I think we need a bigger tunnel............. |

I'm going to declare it a Toby Thing! OK, now I think I get it. Kind of like Che chasing his sisters around the back yard and clotheslining himself on the tunnel, which he practically grew up in, and only stopping long enough to give the tunnel a dirty look.... Kristine |
how many women drive semis under too short overpasses do you think |
And thanks for fixing the link, Ron!!! |
that is too funny |
It's hysterical!!! |
Very funny!!
Poor Toby. I got the same look with Chewie, but it on a smaller scale. Since his trim, he has fit though my smaller IKEA tunnel again. I tried it a few weeks ago......umm, forgot to account for the REgrowth of hair.....it was bad, real bad. No more tunnels at home for Chewie.... |
Poor Toby, but funny! |

Now perhaps Sun, Marn and Gale and I all know what we need to get you for Christmas Though it's kind of evil to give someone in MN a tunnel to play with in December. Don't worry - his early training should tide him over there. Once he adjusts for the bigger butt...trim he may be, but he's grown a bit since he was four months old, methinks. Don't tell me what he did with the Ikea tunnel. His mother completely demolished one in one session as a puppy. I bought the purple competition one for her - made sure to get the 4" pitch, too, so it had some hope of survival. Kristine |

Kristine LOL - I would still accept it, even in December......my birthday is in November........... Actually, the tunnel is still in one piece. It went from full length to about 6 inches long in 1 second though! His butt caught on the entrance ring and the whole thing just sucked itself closed as he ran through. He kind of "erupted" out with a big leap at the end to get free- I think his hair got caught in the compressed folds as it shrunk. The look on his face was priceless...... |
LOL... cute |
TOOO FUNNY!!!!!!!!!! We have been watching this repeatedly as my 4 year old thinks it is the funniest thing she has ever seen! You should hear her giggle!
Poor guy! VERY cute!!!!! |
That is so priceless. I have had to turn sound off though as my yorkie is threatening whoever is barking! Summer is going over jumps now though she does 2 and then trips over the third. I must go and take my camera with me, perhaps next week! |
That was HYSTERICAL!!!!! I love it!
Toby really does have nice contacts...Luca resorts to sliding down the dog walk on his big butt! |

Toby really does have nice contacts...Luca resorts to sliding down the dog walk on his big butt! Oh, you focused on the dog walk??? I figured it would be his dramatic interpretation of the A-frame contact that would be the cause for further study. Do you have a picture of that or is that still classified lest a certain breeder/co-owner catches wind of his acrobatics? Nice to see you're still alive. Kristine |
Well Toby looked great on the run up and as all good showmen should do he had a great ending |

YEOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good spin on, girl! Kristine |
He's so precious! |
LOL I couldn't help but giggle! Oh that was too cute! |
