i brown them with salt and pepper....add a can of mushroom soup, some sour cream and simmer for about 30 minutes....use the gravy for mashed potatoes |
I make Swiss Steak with mine. Flour, salt and pepper, fry up with come chopped onions, drain, put back in skillet with a can of diluted tomato soup. Serve with peas and mashed potatoes. Yummy am I hungry now. |
I don't eat meat, but my mom used to make this when we were kids (so that's why the recipe might be a little fuzzy)...
Place in each cube steak: One whole green chile (from the can, and not the spicy ones) Piece of Monterey Jack cheese Roll up and skewer to keep in place. Broil for 15 minutes or until done. Serve with refried beans and tortillas. |
I make a simple cornbread dressing and stuff the steaks. Roll and secure with a toothpick- or lay seam side down. Pour a can of Cream of Celery soup over the steaks and bake until tender. I serve with mashed potatoes and beef gravy and a vegetable. Lots of carbs and starch. I don't care though. It's good. |

Serve with refried beans and tortillas. I make something similar. I marinate mine in Worcestershire Sauce, Italian Dressing and spices then I use bread crumbs, cheese, mushrooms and jalapeno peppers to "stuff" them. Secure them with a toothpick and bake until done. |
