This morning on Archies extended walk, he discovered that on a nice warm sunny day as much water as you can drink, can be had on route from the river and what's more it is a nice way to cool your legs off! I may have to be careful from now on where I let him off his lead The first few times we took him accross the footbridge into (His) a field on one of his walks it was a major I am going no where near that stuff backwards walking/pulling mode, even when we tried to introduce him to a ford nearby gentlely he did a major 180 and tried to drag us down the lane. It now appears those demons are behind him |

Ha ha George was like that too.
He hated water, we used to take him to the beach and he wouldn't go near the sea, now as soon as he is out of the car and off his lead he goes running into the sea, knocking anyone/thing over in his dash to the water. We spend most sunday mornings at the beach and then hosing him off in the garden. The neighbours wash their cars we wash the dog Over the weekend we took him to a park which has many streams and little waterfalls we couldn't keep him out and his new favourite thing is to run up and down the stream and splashing in the waterfalls! The colder the water the better for him!! Your days of a dry sheepie are over!!! It does have advantages when he has muddy legs though he gets them clean with no effort!! |
I love the pics!! I really miss the beach, we live too far away now looks like George has a great time. We hose Ru down too, nearly every day |
i can't keep my boys out of are pond too many wet paws to clean |
He has continued to be attracted to the wet stuff, going nuts with various springer spaniels, labs, collies, kids! - the best bit is with this nice dry spell we are currently enjoying 28 deg C - he is dry by the time he gets home |
