We have Farmers Insurance Group. My parents had them forever for their place (40 acre hobby farm by Stillwater) and we have had it since we bought our place in 1989. We have no complaints with the company or the service.
I don't know anything about USAA. What do the letters stand for? |
I had a guy run into my lawn and over my stone wall who was covered by USAA. They paid the claim quickly after I submitted the estimate... but remember I'm not their insured, I was the injured. |

I don't know anything about USAA. What do the letters stand for? It escapes me right now me USAA stands for, but you are eligible for it if you or someone in your immediate family is in the service. I think there are a couple of people on here that are associated with the military and I was hoping they could provide some insight if they have the insurance. I will check into Farmers Insurance Group. Thanks. |
We have been very pleased. They are very competitive with the local ins co in town. I also have car ins with them and not only are their premiums great, but, before we had 3 boys under 25 at home, we would receive a check in mail if we didn't incur any infractions. I loved getting those checks. As a whole, if you are eligible, I would consider them. Their credit card, for the last 20+ yrs, has also had the best APR. |

USAA stands for United Services Auto Association |
I have USAA car insurance and they financed my last car loan. I LOVE the service I get from them. My car was broken into and they had a great place lined up to do the repairs, and paid for it all really quickly. And my car loan was one percent lower than the lowest rate offered at the dealership, and I have less than perfect credit.
We will probably use them for a home loan when we are ready to buy. |
I should also add that I got USAA service because my father was in the Airforce back in the 1960's. I personally did not need to be in the military to get into USAA. And they have offered to insure my live-in boyfriend. So they are pretty flexible to work with as well. |
Oh my gosh, I love USAA. We have both our vehicles financed with them, our car and renters insurance, a savings account, and a credit card. They are absolutely the best! I can not say enough about the company. They really care about their members. The only reason we don't have our checking account with them is because we've been with Wachovia for so long it just seems pointless since they are a good company as well. For those out there who have never heard of USAA, they are a bank/insurnace company that serves the military, both current and retired. Wonderful Wonderful Wonderful company! |
