A typing virus invaded my computer!
An evil typing virus has invaded my computer! Many of my post are misspelled usually when I respond late in the evening or early morning before work. I'm always horrified when I discover the misspelled words and too late to change them. Oh how I cringe at the discovery!  The worse thing is to discover them, think it's better not knowing or realizing.
Beware it may happen to you - I know it has happened to Ginny ,Taskers Mom. Too bad we don't have whiteout for computers Ginny!  as she has also complained of it.
I have noticed the typing virus is worse the more tired one gets - hmmm.  or when one feels confident of their keyboarding skills so their fingers tap at a super human pace.
Thankfully, the OES members are great with translating typonese as I believe another member referred to it as. Well that's all folks...... Marianne |

That's why I like using the Firefox browser. It underscores each incorrectly spelled word with red dots so I can go back and correct them... hopefully I remember to do this before I click the submit button. But it doesn't help a lick if I've improperly used a correctly spelled word though... |

My computer is infested as well. Constant problem. Another virus is the "accidently erased" virus. I'm under the weather today and my mind is slow.......I wiped out a while memory card of doggie pictures.......some dogs now at the Bridge. |

| I think there is an "Edit" button that you can use to make changes to your own post before anyone else repsonds in the thread.
Once someone else responds you can't edit. |

Ron, yup I know if I'm quick enough to catch my errors I can click on edit..usually only discover them after someone responds and then too late. They also say geniuses are absent minded..so I'm thinking the majority of folks on here are that.

It doesn't help when you forget something like an "s" though, like, "How Chewie" (see pics posts) instead of "How is Chewie" . . .  |

| I use the Google Toolbar and click on the spell check button.
http://forum.oes.org/GoogleProducts.html It's in the middle link, I think. Unless you want FireFox that has built in spelling and the Google Toolbar, which is the first link. Or maybe you want the photo software. That's the third link. |

 I use roadrunner. Right before the virus hit my computer I was on with You Govern.com or something or other web sight.  Possibly the sight when I opened their e mail. Also prevalent on Twitter.  Thank-you for any quick fix link. I could use it. AVG found it. Dell check-up cleared it. |
