We have a foster boy thay we had the surgery done on when he came in 1 1/2 ago. (he is app 8y/o now) I have just started to relate some of his issues with not seeing what's going on around him. He can see but, I wonder if his peripheal is off? He does okay with other dogs unless they come in on the side. Maybe I am pulling at straws here but, he is super sweet most of the time. Just wondering....does anybody have any experience with it? |

It's a possibility it has affected his sight. Left untreated can cause scarring on the eye. Constant runbbing and ulceration over a period of time will do damage.
If he only had the corrective surgery done 1 1/2 years ago and he is approx 8 now then I would say he has some permanent damage to his eye sight with scarring. |
Thanks for answering that---
that was my thought Monty is a super sweetie BUT....he is iffy in his face (he is great with me) When he had his lower lids done for entropian he had obvious scars of the uppers being done too. Not sure why Monty was left on the street, at one time he had been cared for. What a doll... Thanks Kathy |
Oliver has entropian in is right eye. Our vet did not want to do surgery until it "gets worse". So, at 1 year, we still have not had surgery...just waiting for the go ahead from the vet.
Does anyone have any more input on this subject. Would love to hear it. |
