Poor puppy having a rough time after neutering

From Che. He was the same way. With him it was The Evil Cone (EC). He refused to move. I had to all but carry him in and out to potty - and he was over a year old, we're not talking puppy here. (till I discovered how to get the darn thing on and off  ) He couldn't eat. He couldn't drink. All he could do was stand there and whine mournfully (and loudly!! Wow - I didn't know a whine could be that loud)
It got so bad I called the vet up and demanded sedatives - for me!! (OK, I didn't actually do that, but I threatened to ) Being female, perhaps I had a harder time empathizing with him on the loss of his manhood, though I suppose I could have gotten him neuticles to see if that helped his low self-esteem. Instead I took the cone off and slipped some baggy shorts on him. Oh, he still managed to lick himself now and again, but he'd been doing that with the cone anyway. With the shorts he came alive and now managed to walk up the stairs so he could sit on the bed next to me and try to lick himself all night long.
At least his lick was quieter than his whine. He survived. He doesn't hate me. As best I can tell. As for the blogger's stolen credit card, if the dog shows up wearing a helmet and a leather jacket, mystery solved. Kristine |

| No, the dog hates the cone and he has razor rash.....hopefully not an infection! They don't have a love for their testicles........only human males take such a keen interest in their exposed gonads. Too bad those things and the banana in front isn't stored in a recess, like the spigot on those refrigerator boxes of wine. |
