Sundasy Marley got a bath in preperation for her grooming weekend with aunt Mandy and she looked lovely. too bad there were no pictures. We went out in the kayak and she even managed to keep dry. I t was her first time in the kayak and she did great. only a little movement and upset when some dogs on shopre started barking. With her blus PFD on and her very bright white head blowing in the breeze she was lovely (she did refuse to wear her doggles however which I caved on in deference to not capsizing in the cold lake) This morniong I let her and Morgan out for one last run while I got puppy in his crate for the trip to day care and my bike on the car (in case I could squeeze in a short ride at lunch). When I wen tot let the dogs in Marley was dripping wet from the shoulders down I have no idea what happened. we have a small garden pool in the yard but she never goes near it. the best I can guess is she ran too close playing morning crazies with Morgan and slipped in - like I said too bad there were no pictures - yesterday |

I know exactly what happened - she got wind that you may be getting ready to show her. Any OES growing coat is honor bound to engage in new and detrimental coat behavior... Sounds like a wonderful weekend. Kristine |
I agree with Kristine! Remember Chewie taking a dip in the pond last year the week before a show? |
Yes.........
I certainly hope your pond was newer, with less sludge from fish and plants than ours is! Does anyone see Chewie??? where is my nice clean show dog??? oh my...... Kerry, I feel your pain!!! |
No ours was brown (clay soil) with green guck. I was just thinking we needed to empty it and refill it.
Oh well when I got home last night she looked okay - I'll probably wash her legs and underneath tonight and skip behavior class - she is doing better. and I think this weekend will be all the stress either of us need for a week. She was sooo funny in herding - big scary Marley went up to the sheep after she had them tight in the corner and kissed one The instructor said the sheep was totally confused since most dogs reach in and bite if they are going to do anything. Maybe I need to get her a sheep friend - the covenants for my homeowners association just says "normal pets" Who gets to decide what normal is? |

ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!! Too funny. Both the kissing and the pet sheep idea. Kristine |
