Maggie I crosses the Bridge.
Some of you may remember Maggie's story and how I was first introduced to the wonderful world of Sheepdogs (For the Newbies: briefly, my son and DIL lived in Colo. Spgs with their two dogs (OES and GSHP) when 9//11 hit and he lost his job with Drury Inns when the tourist business went south. They then moved in with me and I fell in love with their OES - Maggie. Unfortunately they felt they couldn't give the dog proper care and attention and offered her to a good home which turned out to be a good friend of mine who had two small children. The family was part of a large clan of many neices and nephews and parents that adored her. She lived the life of a queen with loads of attention and the best care and grooming an OES would ever dream of). I just learned of Maggie's passing this morning. In the course of the conversation, I learned that the friends (Michelle and Pat) are very much interested in adopting another adult OES rescue. I have referred them to our forum and expect they will be visiting it as a guest. In case you hear from them, you know the background. |

She was loved, that's clear from your description, and perhaps in time her people will be able to help yet another. Never to replace as each are so unique and special, but to honor her kind.
