Chewie and siblings are 2 today!
He has come a long way from the sweet little fluff when we got him! 
First show - 
First therapy dog visit - 
Being campdog last summer to ease homesick kids - 
But also getting to play in the lake while at camp! 
Herding instinct test - and passed - 
Learning new sports like weight pulls - 
backpacking - 
carting - 
and mushing in the snow! 
Doing rally - 
and even trying obedience at a real trial - 
beating a MN winter playing with my friends at The Paw - 
But some things never change! 
Happy birthday, Chewie, you have exceeded all our hopes for a new puppy already!! Happy 2nd birthday to siblings Sybil, Macy, Che, Martha, Will, Suzy and ... (oops I forgot one!!) |

| Yep, he is getting spoiled!
He got his regular food this morning, but everyone (dog) got to share a can of the wonderful stinky Evangers canned mackeral on top of their food! Then at obedience class this morning he got happy birthday wishes from everyone. After class I worked as a school nurse. The cook had him come in (through the back door of the kitchen!!) and he got some chicken as a special treat! What a lucky boy. This afternoon we are going for a walk with LeAnne is town. It is a nice day - over 60 degrees now, but we are in a wind advisory. 40 MPH winds, but from the south so let the wind blow that warm air our way. |

The boy you're missing is Mozart, the musical brother (OK, he used to keep me up nights, howling ). He lives in DC and sails in his spare time.

| Got this from, well, name withheld to protect the innocent, but Suzy says congrats to the rest of the sibs as well:
Hi to all of Suzy's sisters and brothers.. A BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!! Every moment since they touched down on this earth has been were well earned. Suzy had 3 parties today..1st Was at her agility class. She had a peanutbutter,carob birthday cake with carob and strawberry yogurt frosting. (NO I did not bake it.. Got it for Bow Wow Bakery. The human members of that class had strawberry layered cupcakes with fresh strawberries and whipped cream topping.. (nope didn't make that one either) Instead of getting gifts, she gave out toys to all her friends at class. We played a couple of birthday agility games and winners got Suzy's coveted jerky treats as prizes. Then she went home and the staff made her a chicken liver pate' for lunch and she had a carrot cake (with cranberries instead of raisins, NOPE I didn't make this one either, compliments of her chef) She got to sit at the table since she was the guest of honor and the gang, ohh this included TOOTSIE & POPEYE the two birds sang Happy Birthday(yes, the two birds really know how to sing the entire song) while Suzy got so excited she fell off her chair. Her mommy and daddy had a special birthday party for her ya you guessed it.. Filet Mignon done rare, baby carrots and rice with a hint of dog food mixed in there somewhere... (THAT was my idea) (Did i mention we didn't get filet mignon, we had fish......) She opened a bunch of new toys for her to stash around the house. Her dessert which she graciously shared with her brother Buddy and the Ten birds . Chocolate Carob cake with whipped cream cheese frosting...(birds had papaya stuck in their cakes. YES she fell off the dining room chair again in her excitement and to her brother's embarrassment. You would think by 2 yrs of age, she would be able to sit at the table for dinner with just a little bit of dignity and grace...(Did i mention they forgot to make a dessert for the humans around there???) My gift to Suzy a membership in the nearest health club to start working off her birthday binging...  Seriously, my gift to Suzy I filled her entry form for her very first NADAC Trial next month.. Hopefully she will be able to clear the bars. SO HAPPY BIRTHDAY from Suzy to all her sisters and brothers.. SHE loves you all.. SUZY and company My three got a trip to the dog park and some paltry icecream. Between Chewie and Suzy's celebration descriptions, I fear they feel they got the raw end of the ownership deal

| Dawn, I just loved the photo montage of Chewie. That boy lives a grand life full of adventures!!!
I know he's living the good life, and celebrating his special day is a bonus for him as the rest of the 364 days are special too. Lots of belly rubs to Chewie the wonder dog! Marianne |
