Back my condo, we live upstairs, and we have a really playful Pug that will be his playmate. Just wondering if downstairs will experience the sound if he wonders around at night? And if I take him to training class, would that eliminate rough play between him and the pug (that will be the main reason why Mipanda would run when I bought him to my family's condo)? |

If given a chance to play roughly outside they should learn not to do so inside. trainig classes can always help as well. my dogs will cry to go out and it is only to run around the yard and wrestle - they never do that in the house any more. if you don't have a yard a dog park works as well.
SOrry to hear about your break up |
I would definitly bring him out for walks everyday if weather allows and I don't have any sudden schedule change (go out with friends, visit relatives), and would that help bring down his energy level? I used to do that with Mipanda and he would seem tired, even though the walk between house and the kid park is like less than quarter mile.
I mean walking is ok, but I just dont want him to run so down stairs would hear "bang bang bang bang" but regular walking would not make THAT big of a sound, right? (given that he is only 40 lbs) |
Hi,
Sorry to hear about the breakup too. What I notice is not the sound of dogs walking around as afterall they have the pads on their feet..but if their nails get too long and you hear the click click on laminate flooring. Most condos have soundproof barriers so shouldn't be a problem. I would see potential barking as a problem. Two of my dogs (I have three) have a twice daily ritual of rough housing. One is ancient and after five mins of play he's tired and will sleep. They always say a good dog is a tired dog and letting them get off excess energy through excercise whether romps at the offleash or long walks helps. Good luck to you. Marianne |
I have three rough German Shepperds, at first I though they were going to destroy my house when we moved in, but now they are used to it, it´s like they charge their energy while we`re inside so that they can play when we go out (three times a day) |
