I thought oh great - there goes a really good first impression - but the family with 2 older teenage sons started laughing. They absolutely adore her and think she is just the biggest ham. Her new owners said that the next day she jumped in and out the pool 4 different times. So Abbie now has a 17 yr old boy that she can swim with and sleep with and what a great match it was. Oh yeah, she also has her very own basket full of beach towels near the back door to dry off with before she comes back into the house. They also have some cute video of her crouching on the side of the pool trying to catch the evil pool vaccum robot that comes up from the bottom of the pool and shots water at Abbie. Abbie looks like a bear trying to catch salmon in a lake with her paw. Her new family are fantastic and they love her. Another really good match courtesy of OES Rescue Southeast. And yes I did tell them all about oes.org. |

Gosh!!!! Another success!!!!! Congratulations!!! I would love to see that video!!!
I really sounds like Abby found her forever home.... another plus for the 17 year old...according to my son...Sheepies seem to be a "chick magnet">>>>> He and his friends were the self appointed designated park walker at that age on the weekends--- (maybe I shouldn't have posted this...but I remember how funny we thought that was and when you mentioned a 17 year old..the memories came flooding back--sorry if I offended anyone) |
She must feel like she has died and gone to HEAVEN!!!!!!!!!! |

Best of luck to Abby and her new family. |
I just these stories with such happy endings!! Thanks, Wyn, for letting us know about Abbie. I do hope her new family will join us here and keep us posted on her obvious antics!! |
Sounds like Abbie found her absolutely perfect furever home!! Memories of 17 year olds and sheepies come back to me, too. When my son still lived at home, she was HIS dog.
Yay for Abbie!! |
