I saw another OES!!!
Anyway, they are oes nuts too, so they didn't think it at all wierd that a complete stranger would walk over and oooo and aaahhh at their dog. LOL It was awesome!!!  |

It's always fun to see another sheepie around town! One time when Presley was young - my Mom went to pick her up at the groomers for me. She walked in and said "Hi Presley" to a sheepie in a crate. The groomer said "That's not Presley - that's Benny!". Benny turned out to be Presleys littermate!  They looked so much alike - my mother thought it was Presley. Good thing the Groomer was on top of things - I would have been quite upset if she came home with the wrong dog! 
Benny was later placed for adoption through NEOESR and moved to Maine - so I haven't seen him since - but I read about him every now in again in NEOESR Tales End updates. Kristen (Presley & Sydney) |

I asked a vet here how many OES' they've had and he said he can only think of 2 that come in. |
| I once pulled up to the park with Merlin sitting in the seat beside me. (This is when I was still driving my sports car) so we'd often get people doing double takes everywhere we went.
One woman waited until I parked and remarked ,"Wow, I've never seen a real OES before , just in the movies." At that very moment, the car next to me pulls up with two OES's in the back!!! That was the only time I've seen them around. It was kind of funny as for the first part of the walking trail we had all sorts of people commenting on the THREE SHEEPIES!!! At the regular dog park that I visit, I occasionally see Hannah a beautiful OES whom both Merlin and Panda just adore. OES are not seen up here very much and I have to admit I love the attention Merlin and Panda get when I'm taking them for walks. Willowsprite, that must have been very neat to run into people with another OES and related to your girls even!!! I hope you told them about this site! |
| A few days ago, my husband went to Home Depot and when he came out there was another white 4-door Dodge pickup parked next to his exactly the same make, etc. and in it was an OES! What a coincidence - same truck as us, same dog too!! Another time when we were at Wendy's, there was a woman going through the drive through and she had two OES with her! Of course, I ran over and talked to her all the way to the pick up window. Isn't it funny how excited we get when we see someone else with one of "our" dogs?! |
| I have only seen one other and that is Sam who lives about a block from us. He doesn't like Jack and Annabelle though, so his owner keeps him away. I haven't seen him on our walks in a very long time, so I hope he is doing well.
Our vet also see's 2 other sheepies, everyone commented that Jack and Annie are the first they had seen in full coat though. They also said one of the boys needs on a diet as he was topping 120 lbs. 
How exciting that the sheepie you meet is Dancer's Aunt, it sounds like it is time for a family reunion.
