Pet peeve - people who can't spell the name of their own dog!! It is Basset Hound. (not to you jcc9797, you were just copying it!) This includes all the "german shepards" out there - major peeve... 
If you have a breed of dog, at least spell it right! OK, off my soapbox..... 
He is adorable.. as are tons of young dogs that end up in rescue. People, do your homework. I ran into a lady at the pet day that I had Chewie and Simon's picture taken. She said "oh I love sheepdogs. We had one when I was growing up. It got too big, so it got sent out to the farm." It was all I could do not to say something incredibly rude.  |

On a good note - I sent the link to our all-knowing adoption coordinator. She got the link sent off to the Basset rescue that serves the KC area!! Good work, and I hope they can get him into rescue.   |
