Potty Time Blues
Cassie has recently come to know us as her new family, she came to us about 1 month ago, and she is about 8 months old. The lady I got her from kept her outside, therefor there was no house training. Although she is crate trained, she WILL NOT tell me when she needs to go out. She knows the word 'outside' and we go out often, and I praise her when she goes outside. When I say 'Outside' she will hop up, run to the door, and sit there. If I could just get her to sit at the door to let me know she needs to 'go'... id be so happy!! Just this evening she peed 3 times on the carpet. the first time I interupted her 1 sec into it, she stopped... finished outside, we were out there for about 15min, shejust wanted to roll around in the grass, and play, so we played for a little bit, and came inside. second time, I think I could have knocked her over, she would have kept right on PEEING ON MY CARPET!! we go out, same thing, we went out atotal of 3 times, for a total amount of time being around 1hr 30min, we came in the 3rd time already after peeing outside about 5 times, and she peed in my shoe after I took them off!!! WHAT AM I GONNA DO? PLEASE HELP ME! |

| This seems like alot of peeing; have you considered checking her to see if she has a urinary tract infection? |
| Seems like she has no idea what is expected of her. You need to make it rewarding for her to go outside, and impossible for her to go inside. Go the teh House-training section and you will find lots of tips on how to house-train a dog.
