Rescue recipient of Sheepiepalooza
Nita (Maggie McGee IV) from the Indiana half of Midwest OES Rescue wrote the following nice note: Quote: We're both just blown away by your generosity. By helping our newly-formed "Midwest Old English Sheepdog Rescue", your group is helping two OES rescues at once. MOESR (the Minnesota half) has rescued dogs out of Missouri for several years. Indiana rescue has also worked with several Missouri dogs, mostly from puppymills via pet shops. Last year one our biggest success stories was Jack, the big boy who now lives in St. Louis. You may recall that Jack was owned by a young man
in Cincinnati who kept him in the basement of his home 99% of the time; emaciated, parasite-infested and living in his own waste. It's the "rags to riches" stories like Jack's that keep us doing what we do. We'd like to thank you in advance for designating the Midwest Old English Sheepdog Rescue as the recipient of this year's Sheepiepalooza proceeds. Whether it's $5 or $500, it's still a huge help to our small organization and we're honored that you have chosen us. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone again in St. Louis for Sheepiepalooza. Jack is a member of our club now and doing very well. We are hopeful that our event will successfully raise funds once again for sheepies in need. |

| Some of you have contacted me about donating items for the raffle baskets.
We are already good on our basket items and appreciate the offers. But we are certainly welcoming items for the silent auction. We only ask that they be Sheepdog related items. You are the most generous group of people. I am always telling people how great you all are! |
