Yes! We call this Tucker's "I'm Wet" dance! He goes nuts and rubs himself against everything, I'm guessing in an attempt to dry off but I'm not sure. He gets so crazy!! Don't worry, it's not just you

yep mine do that as soon as they get outside in the dirt |
yup. panda too.....its the puppy crazy run.....and it happens way after puppyhood too!!
Panda likes to roll in the dirt too...... |
I believe it's inherent.
ALL THREE of mine do this (well, old man Winston doesn't anymore...but he does get a trot going. ). Sheepie rockets soaring through the house. And then they dive into the floor and do a roll and a back wiggle...pop back up and run, run, run. zzzzooooooooooooooooooommmm |
We bath our three girls every week...and every week the run/roll goes on. |
its just soooo funny, we got like 4 min's of him just running running running....its like he's all clean and now he wants to get dirty as soon as possible...we thought hey he's in the clean mode maybe we should try to brush him.......yeah right! It was a disaster, it just got him more hyper never again! hahahahahha. |
I have experienced this many times. |
Yup, several of my youngest plus both resident fosters fall into the post-bath loco category. I have to chase my boy dog around the house because stupid me forgets every time that he does this. He especially likes to roll on my bed or the sofa to dry off
Every time Che pulls this stunt I go racing after him threatening him with death and destruction but the truth is he makes me laugh. Apart from the rolling on the bed part Sybil likes to swing through the training area and go over a few jumps on her way to the table. I don't know if it's being wet or the glee that they survived the stinky soap & water torture that gets them so wired post-bath. Kristine |

It's the sheppie Rock and Roll, yeh bring back the all those Golden Oldies. |
Not just the sheepdogs, our Norfolk Terrier does it too. |
That's why I restrict mine to their own room after a bath. They roll around all over the floor and rub against everything, then it's into their crates with a big absorbant blanket or comforter to lie on for an hour or so until I get the dryer out. |
