Out of all the suggestions, these are the ones I liked best and that were available on a NC plate. I'm going to the tag office in the morning. So I have to decide by then. Thanks for helping me choose! |

When referring to my car, I think "saying" the first option sounds the best, so that's what I chose. |
I like no ticket please LOL |
Did you post somewhere what you chose? Did you go w/the one with the most votes?
I have no idea how to get a personalized license plate. Is it difficult? |

I have no idea how to get a personalized license plate. Is it difficult? About as difficult as it is to write a check for an extra $50 here. |

I think it is $80 a year here for vanity plates, as opposed to $40 every two years, plus the plate charge of $20 or something. There are all sorts of group vanity plates representing various types of groups now, too, from whale lovers to baseball/football/basketball fanatics all with funds going to both the state and the sponsoring organization.
With 1,000 preregisters, I could probably get oes.org group plates! |
Our regular tag fee here is $28 and it is an additional $30 for vanity plates. You can choose a specialty plate which supports various organizations like Friends of the Smokies, Appalachian Trail, Humane Society, Ducks Unlimited, etc, etc. etc and they are also an additional $30. However, if you "personalize" your "specialty" plate, it's $30 plus $30 plus the regular fee of $28. That's a bit much, IMO.
I didn't order the plate yet. When I went to the tag office to register the vehicle on Friday, they just gave me a regular plate for now and I have to order my vanity plate online. It takes about a month to get it. |
