Below is one example of how your donations can help save an OES. With your help, we can ensure that Serenity and others like her are healthy and have a life full of joy. 
YYYY Serenity's Story YYYY Serenity was rescued from a "kill shelter" in Kirksville, Missouri on October16th. She is a Sheepie/Great Pyrenees mix and is approximately 2 years old. When we rescued her, it became quickly apparent that she had been abused, perhaps beaten, at some point in her young life. She was VERY timid, and cringed when your hand went over her head to pet her. In addition, she had been struck by something that severely damaged her left rear hip and leg. After a trip to our vet and a series of X-rays, it was determined that Serenity needs surgery to fix her hip. If this is not done, she is faced with a lifetime of worsening pain and eventually will need to be put to sleep to stop her from suffering. When the surgery is done, the doctors say she will be able to live a normal, happy, healthy life. Serenity is being fostered in Kansas City and the best specialists are caring for her needs. Rescue angels have committed their time and efforts to see to Serenity's surgery, recovery period and physical therapy after the surgery. In the three weeks that Serenity has been with her foster family, she has settled in wonderfully. She is sweet and loving and has become best friends with Reno the Boxer. She is completely house-trained and very calm. All she wants is to be healthy and loved. She is a joy to have around and we're looking forward to the end of her surgery when she can be pain free and run and play. We'll keep you posted on her progress. | WOW!! You certainly have some great items!! I LOVE the merrymac figurines.....it's just my pocketbook that doesn't! LOL! Still a great deal at that price!

You know, it's funny you should ask that about everyone on your list....As sad as this may be to many of us...MY MOTHER IN LAW DOES NOT WANT any more stuff, no matter how cute, with sheepdogs on it!! I think this is a personal problem that she has and will let my husband deal with shopping for his mom from this day forward.
