Jasper totally recovered - pics as promised
He's doing good. His limp has totally left. And his buggy ear infection finally left not long ago. We switched medicines. Something that struck me after that ordeal - if your dog's ear infection isn't clearing in a week with one med, ask for another different one (that treats different bugs) w/o the 170 dollar ear culture. I think we could've done without that. So that's it. He's got black fur - and it's still taking forever for his fur to come in. I can't believe he was once bald on the head and ears and front legs. Have not heard anything else from the daycare that his injuries occurred at, but obviously everyone has heard through my other post that the bill was paid - reimbursed to me. Another lesson I learned - to have about 5-15K put aside "just in case" - the most minor surgery, and a longer hospital stay can do this kind of financial dent and the prognosis for recovery is so good. I'm thinking about that health insurance for dogs now, but I have to look research it. I keep thinking, oh my god - what if it happened again. I'm paranoid as heck about leaving him with anyone now. I'm probably going to Michigan this summer to visit my family, but I hate the idea of him flying with me not in my sight. I have to get over it though or I'll be a home bound hermit here with him. Oliver has his own room too, the guest bedroom. He loves laying on the bed, HIS bed. Glad to hear Jasper is recovered, what a remarkable Mommy you are! |

| That is a miracle for sure! Jasper looks so good. I feel the same way as the other posts...I hope Jasper has begun to heal emotionally as well. I will continue to keep him in prayers. |
