Yeah - I'm so proud...pffftttt
Dogs are happy though. What is it about sheepdogs and snow??? Kristine |
You guys are real snow magnets. We had rain and rain, then switched over to snow at 4am (according to Todd who was at work all night).
We would have had that much snow too if we wouldn't have had all that rain. We only ended up with about 3 inches of snow, and half melted from the wet ground. |
Well, we're going skiing tomorrow. Something about lemons and making lemonade???
I'm still a little fed up, but it does beat rain. For now. Sybil and Che played for at least an hour and they're now downstairs drying off, rather miffed, but darned if I'll spend the night with two wet sheepdogs sleeping on the bed. They're soaked. My hope was that after an hour of play they'd be ready for bed - they've all been in and out all day long - but the snow gets them so jazzed up I can hear them downstairs, getting into stuff. (Gates or crates? Hm? That is the question...) For Sybil, snow play must be the equivalent of drinking eight cups of coffee before bed. She's so wound up. It's going to be a long night. Oh, and then there's always shoveling in the morning. But will she help me with that? Nope!! Kristine |
We've had about 10+ inches here. And our dogs go nuts too. You should see Lizzie on her longgggggggggggg leash, trying to keep up with Pirate and Keira (who are leash free). Lizzie is like a leap frog in the snow! She loves it! Then she burrows her head and the top part of her body through the snow. Keira rolls on her back and loves to make snow pup angels. Pirate just gets HAPPY! He runs, leaps and hops. My kitchen floor looks so terrible. I'm waiting til later today to give it a good cleaning. I'm glad someones love the snow. Mother Nature must do this for the pups! |

We made the news earlier this week for the flooding in Dallas.
The ews showed one of the city buses that flood water had carried several feet downstream. The police set up barracades, flashing lights, several police cars and a dump truck to block off this street - which is known to flood at the first drop of rain. A reporter at the site was on the air talking about the bus when a woman drove around the obstacles mentioned above and got stranded. She said she did't see them The reporter did a great job of not calling her an idiot on the air. |

Well that is just But I do love a good deviled egg |
Oh yum! Deviled eggs, pickled eggs.......actually any egg would be fine but that's not for another month.
Well, only in the low 70's here, though our side yard squeeked to 80, it's a wonderful little microclimate. Now the breezes are picking up........wind and spring here........go hand in hand. Sure wish I could find those roof tiles that flew off last "blow" 2 weeks ago. s. |

Okay...I'm going to whine about this one. I live in MD, I LOVE snow, we've had one snow in our area this year that was significant enough to shovel 70 miles west of us, they have had snow almost weekly. We get a mix, freezing rain or just a cold, bone chilling rain. We're buried in mud up to our bums
I just want summer at this point. Forget April shower's, it'll take til August for this crap to dry out as it is. Here's hoping for a warm, dry summer..........Kathy |
You said it sista! |
its supposed to be 90 here today...
good for now...bad for later...this could mean a super hot summer |
How about sending some of that east |

good for now...bad for later...this could mean a super hot summer Yeah, by August we'll all be dragging out our winter pics and moaning "remember when???" This is what Sybil did yesterday in an effort to distract her from mugging the Easter Bunny (who, oddly enough, didn't visit my house in any event - though the dogs did wake me up barking in the middle of the night at the cat who was busy catching a mouse - yay, Frankie!! ) Syb looks a wee bit cranky (perhaps due to the bunny moratorium?) and Maggie looks like she's fleeing for her life, which is rather ironic given that all of my mature dogs flee from her (she's a pest). But she and Syb actually get along really well and love playing with each other. (Darcy - feeling any cooler yet?) Kristine |
feelin' downright cold....ill keep my 90 thank you very much!!
but the girls did look like they were having a blast....im sure panda wouldnt agree with me regarding the hot weather....... |
