Please...make me laugh! |

You asked for it....

Oh Deb, I'm right there with you!! For us its 8-12 inches. Yesterday almost all the snow was gone from the yard. Doggie doodles were popping up everywhere. Back to a white wonderland They say all this white stuff is coming from the south...you southerners take it back!!! We don't want it. |
We have a forecast of 66 today. I'm hoping to put the top down on the convertable on the way home from work |

BAH! 71 and sunny here. I thought I'd try and take a photo portrait of the puppies today in the field of violets that sprung up in an un-lived in house's yard a few houses down. Seriously? I'd take that snow back; we need the moisture! I'm tired of drought conditions! |
Back to the winter wonderland for us too.
We are predicted much less than my friends to the east, but it still we are at about 3 inches. Seems to be tapering off here, actually. I was seeing mud and dead grass for a little bit - but back to the dreaded white stuff. I am really ready to meet my lawn mower again! |
Ah, Deb - I'm with you, but the pupsters are very happy. I think we have about 5" so far and counting. Maggie loves to roll in it. Weirdo.
I'm working from home today and banking on them finally being tired enough to let me work in peace. First Maggie demolished another roll of TP. Then Macy taught her how to go over the tops of the crates to get to the rest of the house, so she showed up in my office. I was going to let her stay until I saw her eying my work papers Instead I shoved them all out the door in twos and let them chase each other till they finally slowed down. A little. Here's my attempt at cheering you up: She still grins that exact same way and she still makes everyone around her laugh. I mention no names but I dare say that grin is the reason she's still alive Hang in there kiddo. Mud season will be back soon enough. OH! And Happy Spring!! (hahahahaha) Kristine |

Couldn't keep enough water on the garden so it just dried up. |
Kristine, The last time we had a snow storm, it was the day I came to get Lizzie from you. It wasn't even snowing in Gurnee (about 20 minutes from Kristine's house), but once I got to Kenosha, it was horrible! I almost slip off the road in front of the Gardening Center making my U turn! As for the others of you going on lovely picnics, taking pictures in meadows with pansies....pppfffffttttttttttttt ! (Envy is an ugly emotion!) |
Deb - I had forgotten about your Lizzie adventure. That day was ugly (I think a big snow cloud has been hovering over my house all winter!) but surely we've had storms since. Was the blizzard in February? Never mind. Who wants to remember, right?
So, how is the budding obedience star? And when can you pick up her sister to take her to class as well!!! (I'm running out of TP here... ) I'm thinking more and more she needs a working home. And not mine! I have enough working dogs, and not enough jobs for all of them unless I quit mine to direct them 24/7. Sybil's newest thing is to stand on the ledge by the fire place and leap over the gate. She's very proud of what she's learning in agility class and has designed a new obstacle: the dogwalk jump. Hey - we're still thinking about doing a Milwaukee Mudfest meet at a local dog park up in Waukesha, I think it is. Not this weekend though. Doreen knows the details. Hopefully she'll share. I just show up where people tell me show up. Kristine |
Lizzie is doing GREAT! She had her first class last Saturday. She was smarter than any other dog there! She learns incredibly quickly, even if she was just learning, LOOK AT ME, and you get a treat when the clicker clicks. She's made huge strides since coming to our house. She is now (I say very proudly) COMPLETELY HOUSEBROKEN! Ta-da! She did have a pee accident when Jan was over, but that was cuz momma was too busy talking to take her out She's also doing much better not countersurfing. She is understanding OFF. Also I walk Liz and Keira together now, and they respect each others needs, and will stop if the other needs to do business...instead of one of them dragging me town the road and dislocating my shoulder. She is still the bane of Mr. Siamese Cat's exsistance. I KNOW she just wants a little taste of him This weekend I'm making an attempt at full, fluffy brush and bath for Liz. I'm thinking about renting a wetsuit. Wish me luck! Kristine, we just love her so much, and she adds so much our family. We're very lucky...thank you! |
Where the Easter Bunny going to hide is eggs???.........ooops, sorry, just lox and bagels for you.
Actually I can remember an Easter when my mother hid the baskets outside and it snowed over night. Now that made it hard to find them!! Icky jelly beans. |

Mine too! I'd also like a few capers to go with that. Now what's to drink?
Somehow my toasted cheese sandwich and baby carrots aren't holding..... |
Its so lovely, its making me weep. Right now, there are white out conditions outside. Very bad here. I keep telling myself, 57 days to Key West! |

You won't be able to contact me, so don't even try. Then I'll come back, put in all your new appliances, and it'll look so nice you'll want to kiss me full on the lips." |
The snow totally stinks!!!!!! I hate the snow, but when Foz comes in the house like this, it makes me smile.
|
Awwwwwwww...he's so cute! |
Does Foz always have that little smirk on his face? It just cracks me up! |

One last favorite picture of Foz's smirk...sorry, I highjacked Deborah's thread. SNOW STINKS!
|
That makes me giggle. I could look at that face all day, and I think it would still make me giggle. Give Foz a huge hug for me!
Yeah, and snow stinks! |
