* 2 kiwis, peeled&diced * 2 Fugi apples (works best as far as not browning) - peel and dice * 8 ounces blueberries (or raspberries) * 1 container of fresh strawberries (1lb) * 2T sugar (i sprinkled barely a tsp and could have use none!) * 1T brwn sugar (didn't use any and didn't miss it AT ALL) * 3T orange marmalade (recipe calls for any fruit preserves) Tortilla Chips * 10 (10 inch) flour tortillas (used wheat) * butter flavored pam * 1 tsp cinnamon * 1C sugar I'd start with the tortilla chips b/c you can only fit so many on a baking sheet so this takes the longest but oh so worth it. in large bowl mix all the ingredients for salsa but put apples in last to prevent browning but once in with the marmalade... i didn't have browning at all and it sat outside all yesterday w/company. store in fridge. for easy breezy tortilla chips. oven 350 Coat one side of tortilla with pam. Cut into wedges and toss in ziplock bag that contains cinnamon sugar mixture. shake. then arrange in a single layer on cookie sheet. you're supposed to spray once again with cooking spray, but i didn't and felt no need to. bake 10 min (you have to play with this.. i touch mine to see if it's hard although they harden a bit after sitting for 15-30 min). store in ziplock bag so addicting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

L, you can also do a fruit cup with that exact same recipe....
once you have sprayed and sugared the torts, put them in a muffin tin....they will set up as a cup....then for a tad more oomph....take some marcipone or cream cheese, vanilla and whip topping, mix together, spoon into the cup and dump fruit over the top!!! |
What a GREAT idea Darcy!!! Do you just cut the tortillas in round shapes first? |
naw, i just kinda fold them over fan like till they fit... |
Great pics! |
