My Dad has not been well and I've been back and forth between SC, still no resolution there. School this semester is much more than I anticipated and my brain is quickly becoming fried. Work issues have cropped up keeping me from spending much time on the forum and the ambulance has been unusually busy. It seems I've joined the migraine club (gee wonder why) and when I do have a free moment I'm sitting in a dark room whimpering So I apologize to all the newbies who I have not taken the time to welcome and to all my old friends I MISS YOU!!!!!!!!! June is coming..... The boys are doing well and one of these days I'll get around to taking some pictures. I've been too busy to clip Tasker and you'll never believe how long his hair is!!! |
|
Ginny: Thank you for checking in with us. With all the things going on we always worry when a "regular" disappears for a while. I bet Tasker looks so handsome with the long locks. Sorry about the migraine, they bite. Soon you will be able to turn off the furnace and hopefully you sinuses will get back to normal.
My son feels as you do regarding school...he'll have his Master's in May and is looking forward to no more school for a while. The count down till June! |
Sorry to hear everything is so hectic. I guess come june school will be over and you will have more time? My thoughts are with you. |
I was starting to wrry about you too. I'm glad your ok. Hope things get better for you. |
That's it. We're going to have to come steal you for a day to treat you to massages and pedicures!!
I'm sending positive thoughts over to your dad, and a box of sugar treats for you b/c it sounds like you need it. Take care of yourself w/all this stress going on. We love ya! |
I hope things settle for you soon.... take pics of Tasker's furry look! |
Sending good thoughts your way.
I've been in your position before, and it isn't easy at all. |
Glad you checked in, Ginny! I hope things calm down a bit soon |
Life gets hectic sometimes, all we can do is seek peace (even for a few minutes) inside the store and then learn to move with the storm.
You know you are loved and missed. susan |
Ginny, I'm always so amazed at how you keep up with your schedule even before you had more complications with your dad's care. Don't forget to take care of yourself, too, friend. We're here when you need us! |
Hi Ginny,
Sheesh I've wondered where you were!!! You didn't write, nor phone , do you know what time it is!!! (Taps foot and points to watch for emphasis) Don't ever worry me like that again!! Marianne |
Ginny so sorry to hear about your dad and your busy life and those nasty migraines. Hoping all settles down for you soon |
Ginny, I feel like you're always with me. |

Next time you visit that room: take a pair of sunglasses and a laptop. You won't have to whimper alone! Saying a special prayer for you and your family! Pam (mouthypf) |
Hang in there, June will come...I promise!
I'm sorry to hear about your dad. All the stress can do a number on a person. Try and find some time out for yourself - you are worth it! |
Take care Ginny--- we miss you! |
You know you're missed, Ginny! No one adds that special "something-something" to our discussions like you do.
Come on JUNE!! I hope you can work things out for your Dad so he'll be happy. Still no luck in talking him into coming home with you? |
All those who think Ginny ought to step back and take a breather, raise your hand! |

Thanks everyone.
I guess I need to start paying alot more attention to taking care of myself than I have been. Had a 7AM appointment this morning with my Dr to gov over some blood work and discuss "issues". My blood sugar is high and my thyroid is low and my cholesterol is about twice what it was two years ago . I got a stern talking too and told that something has to change. Living life on the "fly" means you don't get enough exercise (I used to get 40 minutes of exercise 6 days a week, not any more), don't eat properly (I'm a vegatarian but not immune to the fast food lure, did you know McDonalds cream of broccli soup and a chocolate shake is not considered "health" food????). sighhhhhhhhhhhhh, maybe in June I'll have time to get healthy. |
i didnt even know that mcdonalds sold soup of any kind....what kind of micky d's do you go to??????? |
Take care of yourself, Ginny! If you were in Canada, I'd suggest Tim Horton's when you're on the fly: they have good menus! |
Ohhhh Ginny
I sooooo empathize! The suggestion someone made about sunglasses and a laptop actually kinda works....I got desperate enough try reading the forum with a pair of "welding goggles" at one point! Take care of yourself sister! |

Take care of yourself sister! That's no joke! I always wear sunglasses in the house if I have to get up and do anything with a migraine. I'm extremely light sensitive and light not only intensifies an existing migraine but can assist in bringing one on so I often wear sunglasses on bright cloudy, or even rainy days. It helps a little. I hope your headaches start going away, Ginny. I know how tough they are all too well and wouldn't wish 'em on anyone. |
poor ginny! You're no good to anyone if you aren't taking care of yourself!
I miss you! |
