It's Monday the 14. April, just a week before the 2.nd UK Sheepie Day!! We live at the moment in a 4 bedroom detached house and it's too expensive! We are only 2 people, counting not Charlie - think she really takes space for 3!! LOL ... and now we are moving into a 3 Bed semi, it's cheaper and surprisingly in the best area here in Chesterfield!!! Very country side area and when we walk out of the new house and around the corner we come onto a field with cows and a river! Charlie will love it!!!! we will not be online after this date for a while so I will have no chance to post or contact anyone from the 14.4. onwards for some weeks! I might go to town to the library to check my mails and check the sheepie site!!! Cant imagine to live without you all!!!! I just worry about MOVING! I HATE moving house!! uuhh!! ... and I also look out for another job, I hate mine too!! Maybe I get all at the same time, I did had an interview today and will do a "test-day" on monday, my ONLY day off!!! There will be better times to come ahead once we moved!!! I am a bit stressed working 5 days a week, 1 day at college and working every night on my college study, on the other day I do sometimes a dog or back to work cause we are short on staff! When do I have ever just 1 day off??? xx |

Lots of sheepie tickles to Charlie Lots of human hugs to Monika & Max We are all thinking of you, don't forget, if you need us we are right here in your local library We want to see pictures of the cows so get online as soon as you can |
Woo hoo!
Good luck with the move... remember something WILL break, don't get too upset. |
Good luck with your move. The location of your new home sounds wonderful. Good luck in the job search. Will miss you while you are off line so hurry back! |
Good luck on the new place, sounds great. Cant wait to see pics. HOpe the move goes well. |
I love that "moving house" expression . Good luck! |
Good luck with your move Monika.
It sounds like it will be a nice place to be - I would like it too. Alittle more rural, much more relaxing. I went back to school (twice actually) as an adult, with 3 children. It is A LOT of work, but very much worth it. It just really bites while you are going through it. No sleep, no free time; just work and school. Hang in there, it does end and it's worth it! |
Good Luck with your move. |
Hope the move goes well! |

Hi Monika,
Love the crufts photos, Good Luck with the move, Its sounds lovely where you are going. Im sure Charlie will love it!!! See you at our sheepie day!!!! We will arrange to meet about 11.00am I will post later for the sheepie day. |
Best wishes that the move goes well and that you have sunny weather. Good luck with the job search. |
Good luck Monika with the Mooooooove! (Sorry Ron - beat you to the cow joke!)
Take a tip from someone who has moved house quite a few times! The first and most important job to do is make up your bed when you arrive - that way, when you are just too tired to do any more unpacking, you have a nice comfy bed ready to drop into! Oh and LABEL every box!! Good luck and looking forward to seeing you at the Sheepie Day!!! |
Good advise, Karen! Set up your bed & make it first thing.
Good luck with your move. I, too, like the expression Moving House. So quaint. Good luck on the job interview, too. Lots of positive changes for you!! |
What do you guys say instead of 'moving house'?? |
We just say "Moving". |
((Every time I see this title, I think to myself: "Moving House and Hauling Ass" but I don't know why.)) |

What does "Hauling Ass" mean?????? I actually not really english, I'm only german, exactly bavarian!!! LOL So, I really find it funny that you all find "moving house"!!!! funny!! I will take some pictures soon the next days from outside the house as I dont get the key until the 14.4.! But it's a lovely old village with old stone houses and the village is on the very last edge of Chesterfield! With loads of woods and fields and .... cows!!! around and a lovely river! We've been there before for walks and Charlie always loved it but we would have never dreamed we ever would live there too as it is the most expensive area here and nobody can really afford to live here! How lucky are we? Our house is even cheaper as what we pay now!! .... and thanks Karen for the advise!!! I will take your advise and do our beds 1. on! your right that we will be very tired in the evening after moving everything! ... is there anyone who can also give me tips about broadband? We are with Orange at the moment, but slow broadband and £19.99! but have telephone with TalkTalk and could have broadband cheaper. As I said we could have broadband with them aswell but not sure if they are good and if everything would run smoothly???!!! I heard something about that the cd they sent you to start the computer doesnt work very good! ???!!! maybe it was just a one-off from a friend??? Anyway, I thank you all for your nice tips and advice and I cant wait until we actually really "moved house"" LOL ... and thanks Kim for letting me know what time we meet at the Sheepie Day! You got my mobile if anything changes!! |
To "Haul Ass" is to move fast or quickly, as in leave a place quickly or go somewhere quickly. It's a bit on the vulgar side, not for polite company.
Examples: "Hey Joe, the cops are coming, let's haul ass outta here!" "Hey Joe, the concert starts in twenty minutes, we have to haul ass if we're gonna be on time." |

I'm just gonna post this then I'm gonna haul ass outta here.
I think Talk Talk have a bad service- I have heard this from 3 friends now. We are with BT Broadband and the service is great, the net is very fast but It's a bit expensive. However, if you want fast reliable service its great. Tiscali are good, we had them before, but you might want to check if they cover your area. OK I'm hauling ass... |
It sounds like great inprovment. Just breath deep, either new home or new job is stressful. It is always good to improve life for less money. Good Luck with it all. We are all cheering you on. |
The only thing I know about broadband phone service is that in a power outage, you have no phone.
My in-laws have broadband phones. In December, they had an ice storm that knocked out power for a good portion of Oklahoma for a week (portions of the state were without power for weeks). No power, no heat except for the fireplace. My m-i-l is recovering from a broken back (fell out of a tree while cutting limbs with her chainsaw) and we were worried when we couldn't reach them. |
Yeah, good luck hope everything goes well take pictures |
good luck on your new place!! |
