Lady and the Tramp
The past two years I didn't even bring it inside as I was unable to move it or take it apart. One family expressed interest in it last year. I read a touching story in the newspaper about a young boy who used his money he had saved for a trampoline for a memorial for his teacher who sadly was murdered. Ironically, this teacher worked together in the past and so it was fitting I offered him the trampoline. It was a bit of a coincidence as the dad who I had never met had just joined my magic club in my absence and had recently met many of my friends. Lots of ironies. In the end, another offer came of a brand new trampoline so they graciously declined the one I had. Another year went by...I see an ad on Craigs List. Family desperately wants trampoline parts as the dad was piecing several together for his three sons. I contacted them and they showed up today..dismantled it in minutes!!! Yeah!! They decided to take the whole thing as it was still in fairly decent shape! Another irony: the youngest boy started bouncing on it and dad says "Does he not resemble a sheepdog?" He goes on to state that his son recently won a speechfest competition at his school on his speech of "what it would be like to be a sheepdog". The boy had shaggy hair and was often kidded affectionately that he was like a sheepdog although no one ever sees them in our area. Now at this point they hadn't seen my dogs as I had them in the house. Imagine their suprise when I said "oh you have to see this!" Out comes Merlin and goes straight to the boy covering him with kisses!! Out comes Panda...runs right to the same boy and greets him with bum wiggle! They must have recognized one of their own!! LOL! Anyhow just thought how ironic - two families - somehow in that weird karma of life we had connections of some kind. I'm always astounded as I've mentioned I live in an area of roughly 3 million people and seem to have these weird coincidences frequently. Oh boy am I happy! The tramp is gone!! I still have those gazillion bunnies as the shelter roof is now fixed but the pens still need to be set up again. So means I have those bunnies for another week or two but now have more room in the yard!! Gotta luv how it all worked out! Marianne |

Oh boy I reread my post and see once again I made a boo boo..I had corrected a spelling error and erased some words in the process. Meant to say that teacher and I had worked together in the past but somehow you guys understood what I wrote. I wasn't planning on letting Merlin out as I knew in his exhuberance he'd probably bowl everyone over. He was so excited after his mean mom kept him in the house that he was bouncing and jumping, but the kids loved him! Panda is much calmer and so it was easier to give him pats. The boy is going to the finals regarding the "speechfest" which all the local schools have and I wonder if he'll amend his speech and mention my two.
