I don't usually do "last call." That's husband's job, but I was forced to do it last night. Additionally, last Christmas I bought a stocking stuffer for DH, a head band light from LL Bean....maybe you remember the commerical with the kids and their lights. Anyway, it's an LED light on a headband. I thought, good for "last call" and trying to find Glacier who runs off to the far corner instead of coming when called (it's a Pyr thing). Last night I donned the light and went out. Immediately I was struck how it is perfect for poop detection. The still brown lawn shone white and the poops were perfectly highlighted. No stepping in poop while chasing Glacier.......always a problem what with the sheepdog's tendency to waddle around the yard while making deposits. Yes, DH cleans the dog's front acre once a week, so it's not like it's concentrated out there, but no matter how careful I am, I still seem to find the one little stinker. Not any more! Who knows, I might actually starting Night Poop Patrol along with Last Call.......................naw. |

Sounds like you bought hubby a great present. |
In Germany you could buy this pill or dog food (I'm not sure) that you would give your dog so their poop would kind of glow green in the dark. |
On our way back from Obediance class last night Poppy decided to poop in the middle of a very dark park that we were walking home through. I had my poop bag ready but when she'd finished we couldn't see it because it was so dark! Had to use the light from my mobile phone to locate the pile so I could pick it up! A torch would have been really handy then! |
