I love it too, though such intense dogs could be hard to live with. Can you imagine flyball with sheepdogs? They drop them and herd them back to the starting line.
Or flyball with Great Pyrenees? They run up to the balls and bark at them, then wander away some distance and watch them. Flyball with a Neopolitan Mastiff? Who'd want to dig that ball back out of their mouth, let alone find it in there? |

lol flyball is fun to watch. |
I think my girl would actually do pretty good at it. I trained her like a retriever and she is fixated on tennis balls. My husband wanted a fetch dog so I spent so much time training her and now he doesnt even take them out for a walk. She is so fixated on balls that at the park she could care less about other dogs and just goes right after it, she also brings it right back and drops it in front of me and she is super fast. Hmmm, might be interesting to try. |
I would love to train Rufus to do this, but playing fetch he runs to get the ball, then drops it halfway back. I take 3 balls out every day so I can throw the next one while I walk towards the last one. I don't know who "fetches" more... me or him |

Rufus is smart. He has taught you how to "bring it". |
