I give Clyde and Bear steaks on their birthdays but I wouldn't recommend it for everyone. My boys don't have sensitive stomachs and pretty solid digestive systems but I know for some dogs, it may be pretty rich in comparison to their regular diet. Maybe some well done hamburger (as much grease out as possible) or chicken? Since that's good for when they have diarrhea, it shouldn't hurt. |
Frosty Paws for dessert or one of the doggie recipe treats; birthday cakes, etc we've had here. Do a search, use the button above. |
Some pet stores sell pet " birthday cakes" or you could look up a recipe online for pet friendly cookies. You could give them a steak without the bone and cook it really well but no seasoning ofcourse and if they have sensitive stomach then I wold expect problems in the rear and it could give em pancreatitis so I would stick with the safe stuff. You can always cook them a good breakfast. I do that for my kids once a month as a treat: eggs rice, tiny snippets of bacon and their kibble. Frosty paws are always a good treat. My sheepies really love fruit so they get an apple or banana once in a while and that keeps em busy for most of the morning. Good luck and a happy bday to your fur baby |
For my guys it would be anything with liver |

I'm not a very fun mom--I give Barney whole carrots for special treats |
