case of mistaken identity
out of no where she takes off on me....i think "oh crap, a cat.." ...so i take off after her....well, it turns out she was running to a guy who was walking and from the distance, he really did look like brian...i started laughing.... the guy stopped, petted panda and waited till i caught up...poor panda was obviously disappointed that it wasnt her dad... it just made me realize A. how good her eyesight is (he was quite a distance away) B.how smart cognatively she is.. C.that she does have feelings far deeper than i ever imagined... D. m jealous  |

I have a similar story. My oldest dog, Winston, loves my mother in law. She used to drive a black Isuzu Trooper. When she'd pull up in the drive or on the street, he'd go nuts with excitement. Well a year or so goes by, and our neighbor across the street gets a new girlfriend. She drives a BLUE Isuzu Trooper. Every time the girlfriend would come over, Winston would see that car and whine and cry that his nana wasn't coming in to see him. One day when she pulled up, I went out and asked her if she'd please let my dog come see that she's not who he thinks she is.  |
