I know you're sad, and time IS the greatest healer. At first the pain was so much we couldn't think of him at all without bursting into tears. Eventually we were able to think of him with sad fondness. Now when we think of our big, brave guy, it is with happiness for the joy he brought. Even today, once in a while we are still moved when thinking about him. It took quite some time before my wife and I were ready to adopt another dog, but suddenly we both realized it was time to share our lives again. I know that Kirby is with you trying to help ease your pain. |
| So sorry to hear about Kirby...He looks so happy in his beach picture...We have a been where you are now and we all know how hard this is. But knowing Kirby is painfree and running across Rainbow Bridge may help ease your sadness a little. |

| I'm sorry for your loss. Kirby was a very handsome sheepie boy and I'm sure he knew how much you loved him. In time, you will be able to think of him and all the joy he gave you without bursting into tears. But, for now, let the tears flow. It helps. |

| Time heals the pain, but realize he will be a part of you forever. As your tears diminish, stop and remember the really fun times. At the end there is much pain and anguish, forget those. Concentrate on how wonderful he was, his special antics, his love for you. This takes time.......and remember, the tears never really end. I still get teary for all my missing K9 kids and some have been gone nearly 40 years. |

I'm deeply sorry for the loss of your beautiful boy Kirby. No matter how long they live we always wish for more time. You are amongst friends here and those that understand your pain. I've had to say goodbye to many of my beloved furkids and it never gets easier. What has helped me is, with their passing it has allowed me to help another that desperately needs a home. Never to replace as each as so special and unique but to honor them. Right now it's too soon as you need to grieve but please come back here and share stories of Kirby when you're ready. | Hi, I'm sorry for your loss, Kirby looked beautiful. Welcome to the forum, you will find lots of sympathy here. When you feel ready and a little stronger, have a read of the other sections here, there are always things to make you laugh (strangely usually when you have your mouth full!) lots of pics and stories.

| Thanks Guys, reading all the posts made me a little sad. Kirby was a very important part of our family. The sadness is slowly going, and we're choosing to remember all the good times that we had with him. |
