we dont have that brand in the Uk. Is your dog just on that and nothing else at all? Summer was pooing too much and it was hubby giving her bonios! Last night she went dog training and had some rubbishy treats...2 poos before bedtime!! |
the only treats she gets is one newmans organic chicken treat a day and then the wellness. |
perhaps someone will help you soon. The dog food does look good stuff! just googled it! |
A general rule of thumb is that a dog should poop as many times a day as he/she is fed. Sometimes a particular dog food is just too rich for a pup's tummy, even if it's a premium brand, and sometimes a dog is eating too much food altogether. Are you feeding your dog according to recommendations on the bag? Since dog food manufacturers are out there to sell dog food, I never trust the amounts they give. Oscar would weigh 150 lbs if I fed him to their specs!
Oscar was on Natural Balance Venison and Brown Rice, but they were involved in a food recall last year for contaminated rice protein. Now they have switched that formula to Venison and Sweet Potato. Before that time, Oscar did very well on their food, but of course we had to switch with the recall. Unfortunately, you might have to switch a couple of times to find the right food for your dog. How much are you feeding per day? |
Just started feeding Eagle Pack Holistic (large giant breed) Her stools are harder and she only has a BM twice a day.... I did have her on Blue Buffalo (large breed), but it is only available at one pet store in my community and we moved farther away from it. She also had loose stools on it.... |
We've been feeding Eagle Pack Holistic Select since April of last year... good stuff!
Like the others, I'm wondering if it's possible you're simply feeding her too much. Kibble calories vary per mfr. and food variety so you need to adjust the quantity of food based on the calories in the kibble, the dogs ideal weight and his/her metabolism (activity level too). My three 62-63 pound spayed adult girls get 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 cups per day plus a few fresh food treats (cooked meat, Holistix Bisquits, veggies, etc.) It doesn't seem like much food but they maintain their girlish figures. Do you free-feed or feed on a schedule 2 times a day? Scheduled feedings might also help to regulate her. |
