I happened to be in one of those big discount stores this week - you know the one, with the yellow smily faces inside - and I walked by a display of the blue goodness. Without even thinking, I looked for the smallest size and put it in the cart. I figured that $4 for a waterproof, rip-resistant dog bed was money well spent. I folded the tarp and put it in his crate, and he almost ran me over trying to get in there to step on it. I wasn't even finished putting his other bedding in the crate, when he had already flooped down on the tarp and he'd gotten up to do the obligatory "turn around and crinkle the tarp" dance. I sometimes wonder why I spoil my dog so much. Then I remember that I have no kids. Thanks for letting me share. ~Katie. |

Hi Katie,
No thanks to you for sharing this story...it just made me smile how goofy our "kids" can be. Of course we spoil them but they are so grateful for all their toys and in Dudley's case a tarp. That is just so funny!!!! I'm still chuckling!! Marianne |
I love the Sheepie dance and would certainly spend $4 to give Dudley a chance to do his dance for you. Spoiled? You bet, and happy to do it. |
sigh Dudley's tarp died this week, but it was well-loved. He'd ripped some holes in it, but that's not why I tossed it. He'd had a poopy puppy day in his crate because it was pouring rain that morning, and he'd refused to go potty before I left for work that morning. I came home from work that day to a poopy puppy with puppy poo smeared all over himself...and the tarp. Not something you'd want to clean. |
