No, but my basset does. |
Our first OES used to wipe his head on everything, which I would prefer to having slobbie boy with a long beard, take one drink of water and have water trails all over the house. They puddles are especially fun when you have socks on. |
My Komondor does that. He makes everything smell like his beard. My OES prefers to shake any moisture off so our TV is in constant need of cleaning. |
I would think that a dog that rubs her face on things constantly is itchy. |
Winston likes to use my expensive leather couch as a napkin. I always try to wipe his beard after he eats - but it doesn't seem to matter. Oh well. |
Yep we have the same problem  |

Not necessarily. Bear likes to nest in everything so he gets very involved with blankets and pillows. Plus, he's always rubbing on me for attention. Other times his face is wet and he just brushes up against things, like the wall or furniture. |
Very funny observation! Yes, mine are the same way. |
Yep, Barney does it. We have a sectional couch and he rubs his face all the way along it, and then turns and goes back the other direction. (Amongst other things he rubs). He also does the shake off of excess water... |
Everytime Chauncey gets a drink he want's to kiss....doesn't matter who or what but has to have a big ole sloppy wet beard kiss |
yeah, panda does it too....all along the sofa, nice and slow.....then back again.......when she is done, she looks very satisfied...... |
Yes, mine do it too.
Although, of the three, only one is an actual "drooler". The other two may have wet beards from drinking, but no drool. Chap is a slobbery fool though. We get slimed regularly by him. |
Does the "etc" include the walls? Yes, mine are wipers on anything and everything. Glacier also uses the diningroom table to scratch her back. Obviously nothing of importance is left on the table least it be shaken off. |

You should see my dash, windshield and door panels of my car! |
Maddie always does this after drinking and eating. My husband will always say that Maddie thinks the world is her napkin so it's funny when I saw this post. It's so true. Plus, if she doesn't wipe her beard off after a drink, she will come over and just do a nice little shake which prompts me to say, "do you give towels with your shower?" I've had to keep a towel next to my chair so I can dry her face off after she takes a drink |
Violet does the head rub thing too. She rubs her head across the front of the love seat and the doggy chair. I always thought it was just "Violet" behavior, but after this thread, I guess it is common "sheepie" behavior. |
LOL!! Okay, that's sooo funny! The side of my bed is stained from the wiping, up then back. Luckily the couch is leather so I can keep it clean from the frequent wiping. I think any surface is fair game for Winny. |

Marley does it in the snow as well - |
Bella is quite selective about what she uses as a napkin. If we are in terry cloth robes she is not interested. But if we are dressed for work that's when she gets a drink and comes over to wipe her face off on us. In addition the nicer the clothes the more she wants to wipe her face. Dress slaks require a towel for protection. Darn good thing they are so loveable. |
