OMG , that poor boy . Is mange really that hard to diagnose properly? |
Texas OES Rescue is such a neat group. They have helped some sheepies that most likely wouldn't have gotten a chance. They are also assisting Shamus who contracted distemper and has the neurological side effects of this awful disease. And remember Petey?
Yay for this rescue group's dedication! |
I've only met Steve, he's a real nice guy, loves sheepies and is dedicated to their care. |
Looking for donations is hard most of the time. I am not sure how this will work in the long run, but so far so good. I have been taking items that have been donated by people for fund raising and putting them on Craig's list. It is a little more work than a auction or garage sale. But you have more control over getting more for the item. Today I had a couple to buy a vacuum. She asked if I would take 75 instead of 100. I looked pained and told her no, We need the money for new lighting. She said ok. It helped that we were in the work shop that has one little light. My director likes that we have money coming in and since I only will do one or two items a week it is not too painful. Doing it through the museum means that I do not have to worry about weird people answering the ads. |
Texas OES Rescue does great work. They're very dedicated to helping sheepies. Bravo to them. Poor Otis would've been in big trouble without them. |
Do they still treat mange with motor oil? I remember them doing so in the 60's.
