OMG!!! How cute, I want one!! |
Wow! That is so cool! |
Those are great! Very realistic too. |
I saw this on Etsy too, but there was another artist doing the same thing that I prefered:
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=9353689 I want to get both Tonks and Luna, but for now its a bit pricey for me. But she also does Magnets of jsut the heads, and that seems quite affordable. sorry; here is the home page of the aritst: http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5139372 |
I'm in awe of the time it would require to do these! She must have some special felting machine, surely not by hand!
Of course I was fascinated with the clothing patterns....brings back memories I'd prefer to have lost. |
i took a closer look and now I'm torn. The first link to Amelia's art; they are much larger, which I like. I sort of don't like the eyes as much as the ones on KaysK9s, but with one of my girls having a blue eye, i can see where it might be an advantage to go with Amelia.
I'm actually on the brink of selling some of my own art, and once I do that, I might be able to afford some of these commissions.... |
Close resemblance to Nelson, Jr. ?
|
Both artists are great. I think a lot of them really resemble the dogs.
Nita, did one of these artists create Nelson for you? |
Laurel is a good perhaps great needle felter. But I do not know if she has done a sheepie. Hey Laurel, what you think? |

Teresa Moore is the artist that did my sculpture. She had a similar dog listed on eBay but it had a tail and I wanted it to look more like Nelson. I sent her a photo and she made the marking pretty close to the real thing. I've done some needle felting since then but haven't gotten ambitious enough to try an OES yet. Add it to my long list of unfinished projects. |
How adorable! Please let us see a picture of Nelson, Jr's tush! |
